The weird thing is that in 1997 I was really happy about the change in Government, it was a major thing, now I'm glad that the change has happened but feel no strong emotion.

I was younger and drunker in 1997. Younger I can accept but drunker? On election night definitely. Iwent to a pub with Shenguin, then defaced some Norman Fowler posters on the way home. We carried on drinking until quite late. I am not smashed tonight.

Farage has won, Yay Essex!
This from an Essex Boy.
Though he took it from the Tories, so...
Farage is still a CUNT of the highest proportion.
My only C-word of this year.

I want to see if Tim Roca has won Macclesfield.
I used to work with him. Iβd say βgood guyβ but we were supposed to meet for a drink after I left and he stood me up.
I can forgive but I canβt forget.

I once saw him stand at the door of a hotel in central London (I think we were at a work βaway dayβ). He stood at the door and looked out at the street, putting his hand behind his back and bobbing up on the balls of his feet for a moment. Iβd like to see if he repeats this gesture again when the results come through.

Jeremy Corbyn won his seat back.
I am glad about that.
It does seem as though Reform split the Conservative vote. Grim. For the future anyway. I bet they merge with the Conservatives. Or something like this β¦
