I've been watching the highlights from the 1993 WC qualifier against Holland, England played OK that night, certainly better than I remember. We hit the post twice and Koeman should have been sent off before he scored.
Seamen should have saved both Holland goals though.

Just nipped out for a bottle of booze ahead of the ritual decimation of the tulip-munchers, and almost got clobbered by one of Jeffs streetview cars prowling around. I look for ward to seeing my immortalized, yet hopefully blurry fizzog freely available for the world to marvel at shortly.

Eat something relatively small a couple of hours before, for ballast, then just booze until I'm smashed Otherwise I end up feeling proper sick, and it's a death sentence for the nearest toilet |

Just before the first goal and the we epub went nuts. But more subdued now.
The continental style of hawf pints and a lollypop from the market is working wonders despite the MASSIVE curry.
Have pointed out "Ik ben een Schot" whilst pushing my way to the bar. Don't approve of the professional Scots abroad, but needs must. A wee local bar on the corner near my hotel.
