Book chat is it? Last night I finished The Forever War by Joe Halderman. Basically Vietnam but in space. It was ok. I liked the concept of time dilation meaning that 20 odd years for the protagonist equated to about a thousand earth years. The main character was fairly bland and dislikeable though

I've spent most of the morning procrastinating instead of doing a job application. It's well boring

I've been watching instructional vids on Youtube. I am now fully conversant on how to change the tail-light assembly on an '04 Subaru.
I will, of course, fail miserably at the task.

Books?
As I'm on holiday without my PS5, I have had to read a couple. I Always Find You by John Ajvide Lindquist, which someone recommended to me. The first 2 thirds were good, very creepy, but the ending was a bit stuck on, and for some reason the last two pages are the narrator explaining the whole plot, just in case you hadn't got it by reading the rest of the book. 4 stars.
Now I am onto The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson. An interesting companion piece to a game of Dip. 4 stars.

I read 10 Little Princesses last night. It was shaping up to be a pretty gruesome tome until it worked out happily ever after at the end.

Morning
Ear still gone for a burton. Although not as loud as yesterday, so fingers crossed.
Ate far too much Chinese food last night. But it was wonderful. At one point I had a mound of Singapore rice, with chicken balls, chow mein and chips on top, all drizzled in sweet n sour sauce.
No books.
OTTM, Nothing else matters. No my words, Carol, the words of Metallica.

I read another one of his that sounds very similar. Decent and a bit creepy, then the end was a bit of a mess

Sweet n sour sauce is rubbish. There, I've said it. Gloop. Yeah, it's not something I would choose. The PM chose it, but it wasn't too bad. Although the leftover sauce this morning had pretty much turned into a jelly in the container. Shudder.

Flying back from Holland on the 12th. Just touched down. No sashes fo me, or white cardigans for the PM & Child.
Proper homemade sweet & sour is decent. Generally from takeout it's not that nice.
Paid €45 for 3 McDonald's in Schiphol. Fucks sake.

Cheery stuff.
