Says I look 35. Tbf people are often a bit surprised by how old I am. Probably my healthy lifestyle and childlike zest for life Whereas you're actually 36. I thought this would get a like because in my head it was a Hot Fuzz reference, albeit the other way around.

I've splashed out 3.99 for the Eurosport/Discovery Olympics coverage. It is very good tbf. Have they mentioned Tom Daleys kids? Tom Daley has kids Sadly not. Anyway I switched back to BBC pretty quick after I realised I'd gone 5 minutes without hearing Mark Foster eulogising Adam Peaty for finding God.

The BBC coverage seems to have a lot of filler considering how much action there is to show. Do they only have rights to a couple of things? I thought the Olympics was one of those events that had to be on council telly by law.

What do the medalists get in those cardboard boxes? They look like Christmas crackers, but it's a bit early in the year

Morning
PHEW WOT A SCORCHER!
Today I "worked". Well, I did work, but skived a bit and sat in the garden in the sunshiiiiiiine for half the day. I'll pay for it later in the week when I need to catch up.
OTTM, youngest youngling announced last week that she was now a vegematarian weirdo. Tbh, we've seen it coming. I'm being supportive Dad of the year and preparing/buying suitable non-delicious meat alternatives. Tonight three of us have chicken curry, Gandhi had quorn chicken curry. I actually really enjoyed mushrooms and tomatoes for our weekend brunch rather than bacon or sausages. Maybe I'll become a Veggie or maybe a pescatarian.

I thought the Olympics was one of those events that had to be on council telly by law. The IOC sold the whole rights to some streaming company, the BBC can only show stuff on 2 channels: "In 2015, Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) beat out the Beeb to acquire the Olympic's European TV rights for a reported £1.1bn. In response to questions about why the BBC didn't match that bid, an FAQ article on the BBC Sport website stated: "Quite simply because we take decisions over our spending very seriously as it is licence fee payers' money that we are using. "As much as we'd like to, we can't buy everything we want." Fortunately, UK law protects several sporting events, including the Olympics, that must be shown live on free-to-air TV. As a result, it meant Discovery, who owns Eurosport, agreed to sub-license(sp?) some rights to the BBC. BBC's restricted rights still allow for more than 250 hours of coverage, with conditions that it is limited to one linear and one digital channel."

We have left Europe so should be exempt from the dead hand of Eurosport.

Jesus. How depressing. And people still actually "vote".
Is James Cleverly an oxymoron? I'm not sure it fits the exact definition.
Say, if Seb Coe was actually called Seb Slow, is that an oxymoron? Anyway, I'm a sums guy, so I don't really know or care, best leave it for the bookworms.
G'night everybody*.
*not you
