Telly? Tried that Bad Monkey on the Apple TV because the G said it was good. Spoiler alert: it isn't. Like all these things these days it's like they spent billions on cast, locations and shooting, and didn't bother with the script, or giving the actors any time to rehearse it.
Ottm? Took the car for a long overdue service and the guy said he thought the clutch was on the way out. But today, the funny noise it's been making has mysteriously stopped. #carchat

We watched the first episode of that Bad Monkey at the weekend. Didn't think it was as bad as Rolling makes out, but I had been munching on a cola chew. Is there a narrator in a Dukes of Hazzard style? I'm vaguely remembering finding that annoying.
I've been watching YouTube videos about SteamDecks. These East Coast influencers are murder. Perhaps once I've bought and paid for new specs.

I logged in this morning to find I've been uninvited from all my meetings and removed from all the teams chats. It's great. I'm hoping I have to see out my whole notice period with absolutely nothing to do

One of the issues with Bad Monkey is that the Carl Hiaasen books it's based on are very clearly satires, but it doesn't translate to the TV show. I also noticed a bit where Vince Vaughan flubbed a line but they just left it in anyway. Not good enough. This is the Internet and I want everything to be perfect.

I read one Elmore Leonard book. I didn't like it.
It wasn't very good.
I have not read any more. Or any Carl Hiassen books.
I can't reliably tell them apart and it's just not worth the risk.

The wrong words, not too many.
I've pretty much given up on GRRM, Pat Rothfuss and Scott Lynch publishing the next books.
It's obvious that either they haven't written the books or have no idea how to finish them.
I think George has just written far too much and too repetitively. He's got about 3,000 pages for the next book alone and can't edit it down or control it. I can't see him ever finishing the series.
Pat just sold 30m copies of his first two books and adopted the celebrity alcoholic lifestyle. And why not?
He'd written both books before book 1 was published. I think the only thing he has written since all the money turned up is rude tweets to people asking about book 3.
