Disappointing. That appears to be a 3-way draw, and I'd put my money on a win for Episode.

More Horizon Zero West last night. Killed the first robo-worm thing. They're big lads.
Watched the last of Time Bandits which of course set it up for a second series.
Waiting on the rain to go off to risk putting a wash out as it's a bit blowy.

A bit blowy ? People here have their recycling strewn around the streets and bins in each others gardens.

hi
A shame the owner hasnβt got back to me about locking the villa.
A shame on him. I hope he wakes up and feels it. A mega-tsunami of shame breaking across him at 3am.
Iβm having a nice time really. I considered sleeping in an alcove above the bathroom last night, but I had a couple of big Tiki cocktails and fell asleep on the bed instead.
I had forgotten my email password. I was also trying to move my communications onto my laptop so I wouldnβt feel always connected on my phone. A big part of me thinks phones should be for phonecalls.
Hmmm
Iβm in a cafe called Petrino. Nice place. I got my laptop out and frowned and tapped at it, like I was a big important man. Now Iβve put it away and am tapping away at the phone.
I wish the battery on my laptop hadnβt run out. I could have turned it on and felt important again. Like Marcus Tandy from Eldorado.
Not much else happening. It is clement here. Extremely clement.

You could say the owner of the villa has driven me to smoking again. There is a 1980s advert in which Russ Abbott goes fishing and puts a speaker playing a Des OβConnor album into the river to make the fish jump out and into his net. At end he lights up a slim panatella with a devil-may-care flourish and extremely carefree smile. I wanted some of this so I got myself a tin of slim panetallas.
The satyr / villa story has not been progressed. I could type it out on the laptop but, as I said, the batteryβs gone. And the βtβ and the βyβ keys have broken. Pretty much rules out the mention of satyrs to be honest. I was going to say βtbhβ so maybe some of the devil-may-care attitude is coming out.
Nice coffee.

I have no offspring, so maybe there is no place for a full family in the story about satyrs. Might be a bit near the knuckle to write a story about a couple who are besieged by satyrs. I might end up scaring myself.
I considered adding an exclamation mark at the end of that last sentence so maybe the devil-may-care attitude is not coming through.
Wondering if I should have a stiff drink. Or another coffee.
Maybe this is the kind of funk Michael Mosely got himself into.

Neil Young
I have now downloaded almost 60% of the concerts from his website. I am hoping to complete the task over the Bank Holiday Weekend. At that point I still need to track each of the concerts so that I can actually play them properly in the car. I have also discovered that the list of outtakes on his website is not comprehensive. There are more outtakes there than there are on the list. This is entirely unsurprising. The Archive is fantastic, but Neil is appalling at actually completing things. I don't think there are many extra songs, but I need to find them.
I am also being bullied by Shenguin. He has threatened to steal all my non-NY music on the grounds I do not have any use for it. This is not actually true. I listened to Talk Talk Spirit of Eden last night. (Brief review not as good as NY)

The bar that sells the tiki cocktails here plays mainly rock and pop standards from the 1970s. The music is almost always fairly good but it never quite hits the high points. Thereβs no Neil Young, no Lou Reed, no Television, no Blue Oyster Cult. Last night they were going into Boney M and Chic.
Neil Young might be a bit of a downer to be fair.

Spirit of Eden is a classic - makes it into a top 5 of the 80s imo. Laughing Stock is good too.

So I've just had the Asda delivery. When it's laughing boy who delivered today the stuff is in bags.
Same as the last time he delivered.
You're supposed to pay extra for bags.
I don't want bags. Not because of Greta, but because stuff is squashed to fuck and you can't check dates on stuff. When it's the trays he can't dump and run. As is his want. The arsehole.

Freedom This Notes For You Trans Re-ac-tor Hawks 'N' Doves Bubbling under Life, Everybody's Rockin', Landing On Water Excluded as it is only an EP El Dorado I know the Geffen albums are controversial, but I really like Trans. It's a left turn I haven't even got to Echo & The Bunnymen yet, let alone anything else. Talk Talk were pretty good, but not in my top 5. It's My Life and I will rank them how I want

You canβt deliver anything these days. Do you work for Royal Mail? I had a parcel they said they would deliver by 10.48 this morning. They did not. I waited in for it. Instead they brought it round at 2pm, while I am at the office. They have not left it by the door - which I would be fine with and may redeliver it tomorrow. I am out all day tomorrow so they mayor may not leave it. This is vaguely annoying. I ordered a book from Amazon about 7 pm on Wednesday and they delivered it before 8 on Thursday morning. That is good service. Except that i was asleep and they woke me up. And I couldn't get back to sleep afterwards. So i lost an hour's sleep.
