ANother night went by with no games. My big plans to play some PC stuff went unrealised as I watched the finale of Black Sails instead before going to bed at 2115 like a crazy person. Black Sails has been one of the best TV shows I've ever watched and I'd recommend it to all. It had everything, pirates, war, nudity, political intrigue and derring do in spades. 4*.

God it's hot. I am working from home, but I now miss the air con at work. I spent over 2 hours stood on a train coming home yesterday, the entire board of Network Rail can suck my sweaty balls.
No games, sadly.

No games last night- played some football and drank some beer. This has made much difference from the last few weeks of watching football and drinking beer. I reckon I'm basically a health freak now.
Black sails- it's ok, it seemed a bit like sons of anarchy on boats which isn't a bad thing. Tried hard to be like game of thrones but never really hit the heights for me. Didn't help that the vast majority of the cast couldn't act, carried a long by flint and rackham they mostly seemed to have been picked for their other assets..

It really found its feet in S2 I thought, less T&A, more piratey stuff. I spent a lot of time on Wikipedia and other sites as the likes of Rackham, Vane, Woodes-Rodgers, Hands etc were all real people and I enjoyed the blending of that with the fiction. From yesterday. Shields are a new type of Commendation. There's 4 at present with one a month until Div2 is out. Unlocking them gives cosmetic items for your agent in the sequel. Fun to rattle through though, things like clear 25 DZ landmarks, take the BOO to 100% etc. Relatively straightforward tasks but they did get me in WSP more. |

God it's hot. I'm "working" from home this morning, but obviously not actually doing any work. Fortunately I have really good air con at home, because I can afford a luxury modern house because of my very well paid job on the Board of Network Rail. Later I might count my money or torture an animal or something to pass the time before there's more football.

Wild card used. I've abandoned most of the players who've dragged me to the top of the Chatterbox league and started afresh. Brutal, I know, I'm the Ferguson of fantasy football.
Its that time in the tournament where you have to gamble on results, I've gone heavy on Uruguay, Croatia and Brazil. You should expect them all to lose spectacularly, because I never learn.

Black sails chat: yeah I thought it peaked in seasons 2-3 then dropped off a bit again. I ended up doing the same thing regarding the characters, I believe it's only flint and silver who were fictional?

I was ill yesterday so spent the afternoon playing dark souls in a bit of a daze. I sorted out the gaping dragon. That game really is a masterpiece, the sequels just don't have the same massive interconnected world, and being able to teleport wherever you want takes away a lot.
Lots of double barrel on the horse poshos on the train this morning, is Royal Asscot happening today or something?

They’re emptying the waste tanks in the site cabins, and it fucking stinks. Just what you want on a hot sunny day, a lingering smell of shit in the air.
At least it’s Friday, I’ve got beer in the fridge for when I get back.
