‘The most horrific, sobering thing I’ve ever seen’
Bit harsh imo, some of the bits near the university are quite nice.

Hello. I’ve been out all day the west end with my pal & wife. We bumped into another pal and his wife.
We went to the Hunterian Museum which is the grounds of Glasgow Uni. There was a freshers fair thing on. I may* have signed up for the Mature Students Assoc.
We also went in to the Mackintosh House thing. We went for Indian Food.
* I didn’t, but I contemplated attempting it for a student jape.

Hello
Today my daughters took Mrs D and me out for a vineyard Tour and Tasting in West Sussex, followed by a pub lunch. as a pre-birthday treat.
The weather was remarkably clement and a pleasant time was had by all.
I have had a few drinks.

Yesterday I ate in a slightly shit hotel/pub called The Seagate.
Nobody appreciated my jokes about hard disks.
I had a vegan burger and fries, and most of a bottle of red.
****, would recommend.

If I'd been there I would at least have smiled, perhaps with a subtle, barely perceptible, nod of my head in acknowledgememt.

Perhaps you'd have had more luck at the Western Digital down the road?
Or ordered chips instead of fries. Barracuda instead of vegan burger?

To be fair I believe the first choice was Wolverhampton, but they couldn't find anywhere to do the pre-apocalypse bits.
The best thing about Threads is every time they sit in a car listening to Sports Report Wxlvxs have lost. That always cheers me up. You can date the filming by the scores. From memory it's the start of the 1983-84 season.
The second best thing about Threads is they nuke Sheffield.

I am not necessarily in favour of nuking Sheffield, but I am definitely against not nuking Sheffield.
