One of the things on my getting old list was smoking opium to be happy in old age. So I might visit my garden centre in preparation for growing a crop.

"E could 'a got me mad with it,' grumbled the old man as he settled down behind a glass of water. 'A 'alf pill ain't enough. It don't satisfy. And a 'ole gram of rock star coke is too much. It starts my bladder running. Let alone the price.' Wise words Ftfy

Also I can drink a pint in 2.5 swigs. Sometimes it is difficult to make it last that long.

That article also ignores the fact that the reason they have smaller servings in Australia is because it's so hot you've only got about 3 minutes before your beer starts to boil

The original reporting was less than honest. Firstly it was in 13 pubs only. It led to a 5% fall in custom and a 10% fall in beer sales. If you account for the ex-customers who just left it's actually a 5% fall in sales. 95% of the customers drank 90% of the beer. It would be interesting to know what the missing 8% did. I suspect they went to other pubs and did not change consumption habits. Also pubs are struggling for income. The 12 pubs only participated because they were paid for the lost sales. I do not object to pubs offering a wider range of sizes. I would object to reduced glass sizes. Can you double-check your maths please? I can't find where you got your figures. I'd like to copy your work, but not if you've made an error.

Someone put on the town Facebook page looking for old electrical equipment as he liked repairing things as a hobby. PC's hi-fi TVs etc. He's collected my old Cambridge Audio amp/streamer and Teac cd player to give them a new lease of life rather than going to land fill. I've added him to my useful people to know list. He offered to put a second drive in my Nas and set it up as a back up for me.

I'm concerned that Whatalark may be being groomed, or maybe, he's the groomer.
Hmmnnnn...

That's weird, because recently I posted this on Facebook: "Willing to be sexually exploited in return for replacing the heating element in my tumble dryer".
No takers yet.
