hi I am pretty tired. I fell asleep on the sofa last night and went to bed at half one. Brushing my teeth seemed to wake me up and I couldn’t sleep for a while after that - lying in bed, ruminating about work issues. I am pretty tired … I also have a bit of a cough and cold. I feel medieval. Medieval or mediaeval? RollingEscargot, amipalCan you help?

Well I'm not really qualified but lemsip and a day on the sofa usually helps.

Hello. I am also run down and possibly getting a cold sore on the base of my nostril where my nose is running.
No games last night, no TV other than the 10 pm news.
WFH. Need Coffee. Got minutes from a meeting to type up. Pah.
I have arranged a very overdue eye exam for next week, mainly so I can give Vision Express £500 this close to Xmas.
This is so I'll be able to read the screen on a Steam Deck that I can't afford after purchasing said gregories. Four stars.

My eyes will be burnt out by the nuclear explosions at Holy Loch, Glasgow Airport and other places round here.
Perhaps I should forget about new specs. Spend the £500 on Coke'n'Hookers. Not that £500 will get you much coke or particularly high class hookers.
Get a new credit card? What if the bombs don't drop? Adulting is hard.

Stand in the middle of the road, waving arms in eye make up and a random assortment of clothes. Someone will be along shortly and relieve you of adulting for a few days, or it's just normal for Glasgow and someone will try and run you down. No adulting both ways at least.

I'm thrilled to announce that I'm on a train, and haven't spilled coffee over myself.
Disquietingly quiet on the trains today, has Vlad's nuclear fireworks show gone off and no one told me?
I've recently switched from Starbucks Flats White to Pret, as I was beginning to suspect the lids on the Starbucks cups were faulty leading to coffee leakage, after I poured coffee down myself three days in a row. Since I've been on the Pret FWs, no such incidence. Somethings rotten at Starbucks, it starts with the lids but it goes all the way to the top.
Thanks to the cold weather I've also taken to keeping my coat done up on e the train, so if I do pour coffee it simply flows off my waterproof coat. Potentially onto my trousers, but I've not thought that far ahead yet.

If Lazy was a wash basin. Still hanging on in there and everything working as it should.

Somethings rotten at Starbucks, it starts with the lids but it goes all the way to the top. Surely the lid is the top? This might explain some of your spillage issues if you aren't holding the cup the right way up.

You should take down this post. You'll be sued for hundred of thousands of pounds over this.

Moaning
Last night I watched everyone's second favourite team play some Euroballs. Axxxn Vxxxa versus Munchen. Vxxxa's hot shot forward scored a THUNDERBASTARD to win it. After decades of no European glory, the Vxxxa fans were Hungry Like The Wolf for success. And The Reflex save from the goalie at the end was not of this Ordinary World.

I have almost finished my minutes. I now need to phone someone to confirm what a couple of my scribbles actually meant. "SC chase up Fire with GM" you what mate? I knew I should have recorded the meeting.

I am enjoying some of the reaction to the Villa win, celebrating them as a 'proper' club in contrast to the petro state teams like Man City. I guess American venture capitalists and Egyptian gazillionnaires really are the new local carpet magnates.

I fucking hate Bayern. Always untrustworthy.
The amount of gushing round here you'd think they'd actually won something, not just a group stage match.

An almost completely pointless group match, there really no sense anything is on the line when the teams from the big countries meet now. Also, what is that separate league Celtic are in? Is that the Champion League or something else?

I don't think Scotland counts as a big country.
Not since Stuart Adamson died anyway.
Celtic's dreams are not staying with them, not in Europe anyway.

The whole point of the Champions League is to teach teams from the small countries like Celtic not to get ideas above their station, and to drive home to them that they are only there as cannon fodder to make up the numbers. It's the only thing I like about it.
