I don't know what an actual Brum accent is, I only know the comedy version Black Country/Dudley accent, so I can't with any authority comment on the two well spoken English guys that were in the chat.
The Govan Young Team would think me a posh boy. Though if dealing with them, my use of language would alter itself in an unconscious defence mechanism. {Edit}Plus point out my coming from Central Greenock.

It's Scouse accents for me, Clive. I don't mean to be confrontational, but they all sound a bit thick, don't they. Devon accents make people sound like chewing the cud is the most intellectual thing they ever do. I'm not going to argue with that. Well, except to say that you'll be hard pressed to find a Devon accent in Devon. Somerset, on the other hand...

Roasted a chicken for dinner. Leftovers for risotto tomorrow.
I'm off Mon/Tue the PM is off Tue/Wed for the school holidays. We're possibly going through to Edinburgh on Tue. I want to go to the Games exhibition at the National Museum but can't see it happening.
The child and I need to go present shopping tomorrow for the PMs upcoming birthday. I have absolutely no ideas. Four stars.

I like the Liverpool accent.
When I moved to Birmingham I got nicknamed ’Scouser’ by my PE teacher.
So I suppose part of the reason I like the Liverpool accent is that I used to have a little bit of that accent myself.
I speak the King’s English now. Hope to one day speak Steve McClaren’s English.

I’m watching Raise the Titanic.
Would you believe it they’ve actually raised the Titanic. They’ve done it. They’ve fookin’ done it.

Are the English playing the Crispy Pancake lads today? They are. I’ve just put it on. What is the Nations League? A way of making friendlies more exciting? Of making them friendly? Is Sweet Caroline on the cards? You can’t sing anything nowadays. Sing Three Lions and you’ll get arrested and thrown in jail.

Well, except to say that you'll be hard pressed to find a Devon accent in Devon. Somerset, on the other hand... When we were down in Cornwall in May, heard very few Cornish accents. One chap got on the bus and sat next to us. Wreaked of horses, or horse-doin’s. Spoke to his wife on the ol’ mobile telephone, and he had the strongest Cornish accent I’ve ever heard. Lots of grrs and grunts. 4*

Northern Soul, the Elaine Constantine film? That was great. You've gone badly wrong there.
It's got The Night by Frankie Valli featuring heavily on the soundtrack.
Give yourself a good talking to.

I was thinking the national anthem is such a dirge. A real downer. It must deflate the spirits of the England team wherever they hear it. So I asked AI to create a more pumping, upbeat version: www.udio.com/songs/rorQUXzJdZU4PyZ4qhLzcR

A film about going dancing all weekend to obscure Black American records whilst out yer farter. Yet also warning the perils of drug abuse.
What's not to like?

My sister used to be into northern soul. I went to a couple of events. Lots of men with greying Paul Weller haircuts and sideburns, dressed like they were at a 1970s wedding.
