Bloggie, Even though it was my idea, it's still creepy. Stop it. Shenguin - thanks for the like for my 7/1/18 comment. I did feel it was under appreciated at the time. Embrace it Py- could become a new blog "thing".

The meal, I forgot about Ghandi being in Civ, is this 5? I know that due to a bug he was the outrageously aggressive in that From Kotaku: "In the original Civilization, it was because of a bug. Each leader in the game had an “aggression” rating, and Gandhi - to best reflect his real-world persona - was given the lowest score possible, a 1, so low that he’d rarely if ever go out of his way to declare war on someone. Only, there was a problem. When a player adopted democracy in Civilization, their aggression would be automatically reduced by 2. Code being code, if Gandhi went democratic his aggression wouldn’t go to -1, it looped back around to the ludicrously high figure of 255, making him as aggressive as a civilization could possibly be." Ahh, the meal is at a place called Vadah. As previously said, it has a reputation for being very good so I'm looking forward to it. Also, first time this year I'll have had rice. The one thing I miss most on this diet. On Ghandi/ Civ VI, he's peaceful enough, don't think he's been involved in a war this game, but he's a little shit when it comes to denouncing, demanding and offering shit deals. Next time he offers to sell me a piece of art for 99% of my wealth + resources + gold per turn he can have a nice shiny missile in return. After which I'll stroll in and take the statue from his cold dead hands. Totally not the warmonger he keeps calling me. Not at all. Nope.

Mrs Zord is obsessed with Gilmore Girls. I have no idea why, the two main characters are annoying , overly zany, "hey lets talk at a fast pace and everything we say is a zinger" trite caricatures. Utterly 2 dimensional. I love Mrs Zord but she has shit taste in telly (and husbands etc)
Hi! I don't like a thing! What a surprise.
End transmission.
You may be surprised that I loved the Gilmore Girls Not really, I always assumed you were sick in the head.

Hi. Games: none
TV: signed up for BT just in time to watch Burnley vs Aberdeen, now I have no fingernails and a 15 month contract.
Last Chance U: 1-2-3 for me. I thought the third series felt more contrived - it was never really explained why this team suddenly had loads of money (was it funded by Netflix...?), unlike the Mississippi team which seemed genuinely to have a 'last chance' business model. Felt like they edited it to make you dislike the coach at the start then make him more likeable. I read afterwards that nearly 20 of the Indy team got Div 1 contracts, though almost none of them were featured in the show - presumably because most of them were not really last-chancers. But that;s just nitpicking really, I do love it, and also the much cheesier All or Nothing on Amazon. Got right back into American football last season for the first time in years.
Cheese: I fucking hate cheese. Mouldy milk.

I've been going through the box's back catalogue I have no idea why anyone would put themselves through that, but if I did I wouldn't have said anything and creeped people out by liking comments from months ago. I was here months ago, so those likes were from, like, months ago. Besides, have you been 'looking' into the catalogue yourself?

What's the biggest wrong un indicator? Being a fussy eater is up there for me. A guy I work with never eats fruit or veg. He was telling about how he'd eaten mushrooms for the first time... at the age of 34.

I knew the cheese police wouldn't let that one pass. My aversion is like carbon offset for the heart, allowing me to double my intake of deep fried mars bars and fish suppers without penalty. Plus, parmesan smells like vomit.

Stale parmesan smells like vomit. Fresh parmesan doesn't. It's crumbly, velvety lovleyness.

What's the biggest wrong un indicator? Being Michael Gove.
Scratch that, willingly marrying Michael Gove. Who could look at that puffy face and gaze deeply into those dead fishy eyes and fall in love? A right wrong un, that's who.

I once walked past Michael Gove in the street. Much flabbier than he looks on telly. A wide, loose, fish-like face, a blasphemous limp corruption reminiscent of something from Lovecraft's worst nightmares.

Strong female lead, an emphasis on the importance of friendship and making right choices, decent quick dialogue. It lacked vampires, but even so I quite liked Gilmore Girls. I didn’t watch the more recent revival.

I didn’t watch the more recent revival. It started off well and then went on too long, overall fun but needed a lot of editing <edit> Quite a lot of fan service

I finally got to play a bit of NMS, basically wondering around and blasting bits of material with my gadget thing. Will hopefully have a few hours to dedicate to it tomorrow.
The new Orange is the new Black is shaping up to be pretty good and Good Girls is also OK. Better Call Saul returns next week too.
Also, my team Lincoln City are going up this year, I can feel it in my bones. And because we signed that flash striker from Barnet.
The kid is a fully fledged walker now, he can walk from the living room to the kitchen, turn around and walk back. He scampers up the stairs quickly as well.

Weird, isn't it, how fast human physique asserts itself and makes the little ones walk on two legs. He'll now quickly enter the most difficult stage for a parent: when they are too fast for you to catch them.

Hello all.
Today is the boy's second birthday, so we went to the Sealife Centre this morning. And then stopped at a cafe for some lunch on the way back. I may have a sleep now.
Games! I've put Mad Max to bed, and started on Battlestar Galactica Deadlock. It's a ship-combat game similar to Battlefleet Gothic in that you give your orders, then the ships play out the actions over the turn. Rather good, or was until the tutorial got stuck. So going to have to restart. Four stars.

I've got that, started playing it realised I hadn't watched BSG* except for the pilot so stopped and went to watch the show, will probably play it in a few years *you don't need to have watched the show

Hello.
No games last night, mainly because my lunchtime craving for flammkuchen backfired spectacularly. I was trying to clean the oven after baking it when I opened the lower oven door of my stove, forgetting for a moment that it had a dodgy hinge. It promptly fell forward onto the floor, shattering the outer glass panel into a thousand pieces. Frantically sweeping them up, not helped by the fact that the cat was persistently demanding more food although she still had a full food bowl that she had rejected, as usual.
Finally cleaned up the mess, then had a look online for spare oven parts. No doubt I'll be seeing their ads for a long time now. In hindsight I should have done this earlier, of course, now I've got to replace the hinge and the glass panel.
Then, suddenly, I noticed that the wireless headphones that I'd been wearing round my neck while all of this was going on were gone. I searched everywhere. I went three times through the content of the kitchen bin (which was, of course, now full of broken glass). Nothing. It was as if a wormhole had opened up and swallowed them. So I reluctantly gave up the search and got on with the evening, with no time to spare for games, although I really could have done with some distraction.
Then, later, as I was doing the washing up I reached for my apron - and the headphones fell to the floor. They'd got entangled in it earlier. Hallelujah!
After yesterday's discussion of Jaws I was pleased to notice that Netflix has got it and not only the ridiculous sequels. Mr Enemy hasn't seen it yet. Can't wait to show him (maybe not whilst having dinner, though).

He never slips as he travels up the stairs, but obviously I'm right behind just in case. The nursery were saying he's got a phenomenal appetite (i.e. greedy blighter) and he has became really attached to the chef and cries when she leaves the room.

I am not saying Shenguin is a denialist. However he has Egyptian citizenship by residence.
