So... How 'bout them games huh? I am all over the games. Monster Hunter: thanks Felice/dank- I downloaded monster hunter demo on switch, not sure it's for me. Chased a dinosaur around a map for ages smacking at it, not sure what I was doing until it died. A pogo stick and a cat followed me. |

Mafia 3- for some reason I'm back to it and enjoying it, it was only one mission with a ridiculous spike and now it's settled back again. Brainless fun.
And lastly I have downloaded xcom 2 and Deus Ex in my continued mission to play through my backlog

Three different games? You're dangerously out of control man.
I thought Mafia 3 was ok. It's incredibly repetitive, and really drags in the middle, but there was just about enough there to keep me interested til the end. It probably could have done with more cats and pogo sticks though.

Last night I watched some episodes of the television programme Hannibal - it was extremely unpleasant (like my face). A series featuring a cannibal was unpleasant, you say? A fair rejoinder, Scubar. But it was unpleasant in a different way I thought - it projects earnest seriousness but it's a pretty lightweight series that has wafer thin characterisation, playing on the fact that everyone already knows Lecter. The main guy just stares at the corpse and magically sees what happened and why, apparently because he is a psychologist. I don't think it earns the right to linger so graphically on the horror stuff. Its like if Dr Mark Sloan investigated a satanic death cult, witnessed the brutal evisceration of a few virgins, shot a couple of pharmacists in the face, then ended the episode chuckling with Scott Baio in a barber shop quartet version of Messiaen's Quartet For the End of Time, though to be fair I would watch that. |

I've gone back to tomb raider. Why? Because I'm a brainwrong feeble minded buffoon. Now on 91%.
Watched the RDR2 trailer. Looks great. Hope its as good as RDR - top 3 GOATOAT* for me, Clive. Just me, the open landscape, great music, storyline, characters, flowers, bears, murder. Please no requirement to involve other humans.
*not sure I'm doing this right.

Too much time on my hands. Ok is definitely the word for mafia 3- I'm keen enough to keep playing it, but I'm not sure why, basically like mad max. I'm essentially forcing myself to play games at the moment. Deus ex however is garbage. |

I've realised it's too difficult to have a top 3, or even 5 or 10. It needs breaking down into sub categories, like in Biology.

Was is ISS98 that had the unlockable legends? You had to win the Konami cup, world cup etc then you got a red legends team and a blue legends team.
Charlton, Best, Pele, Maradona etc. I've a memory it was Chorlton, Beast etc but might be wrong.
