Hi folks!
It's 7am, I didn't go to my bed until 2 and I feel great, because I don't get hangovers. Who hates me right now?
Off to the local greasy spoon in a bit to destroy my body just a little more.

Museum Chat.
I'd recommend 'The History of Concrete' and 'The History of Roadbuilding' both at Amberley working Museum in West Sussex. If possible attend the CAMRA event on the 31st August to 2nd September.
Ale At Amberley New Barn Road, Amberley, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 9LT
With local beers, ales and perries, and musical entertainment throughout the day and evenings. The event is pre-booked tickets only for the evening sessions on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd. The Museum is open as usual from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday and Sunday daytimes, with drink up day on the Sunday.
Drunken rides on a minature steam railway, open topped routemaster bus. If you ask them nicely, they may let you take a Sinclair C5 for a spin. Not to mention the roaming traction engines in the afternoon.
Sales pitch over.
Not quite, 'drink up day' is where they sell pints booze for pennies so the vendors don't have to lug the stock back home. There's also a food market or a greasy spoon, if you prefer. Last time I went I had a squirrel burger and a wild hog burger, cooked in front of me.

Your face is Britain. Culturally rich but fundamentally at war with itself.

I've gone wrong there, haven't I? That's the point you realised you'd gone wrong? Amazing.

Good afternoon, Last night I watched the end of How It Ends, so I now know how How It Ends ends. It's not very good. Also a bit more Bosch S2. That's it. That's all I got.

Killed it? Anyone got a good pulled pork recipe to make in crock pot? It's too wet and miserable to spend the afternoon with the smoker. Might get some rum or bourbon to go with it. Although a nice single malt always goes well.

Set the oven to gas mark 1. Get a 600g lump of pork shoulder in a casserole dish, seasoned with salt and pepper. Then add 200ml of Dr Pepper, two teaspoons of chipotle paste, 50ml of red wine vinegar, 125g of brown sugar, and a diced onion and three minced garlic gloves in there. Whack it in the oven for five hours. It's done when the pork falls apart at the touch of a fork.
You can also reduce the liquid once the pork is removed to make a sweet sauce to add to it.

That might not be of much use to you for today, but one to bookmark for the future.

Garlic gloves are useful when you're assing onions.

That pork sounds great. I'm about to start making a Ragu/Bolognese. Only two hours in the pot.

Afternoon nerds.
Coped with dinner at my brother's by having a KFC beforehand, snuck out with the kids this morning on the presence of going to the park, which we did, but via the local cafe.
Back home now, how do you people cope full time? An evening/ morning and I'm done for the weekend. I'm assuming alcohol.

Anyone here played monster hunter world? Enjoyable? I have and it's fun if "you enjoy this type of game" very grindy. I would say it's better multiplayer, not that I've done that of course

I;ve been ill for the past week, so I've mostly been at home playing games. Unfortunately I was ill enough not to really enjoy said games. Oddly I know have a lusting for bacon, despite being vegetarian. Probably not been consuming enough take away food.
Top Switch tips - monster Hunter demo and Dead Cells - lovely stuff.
I've been eyeing up EXAPUNKS but I still haven't finished Shenzhen I/O. Its basically a programming job for your work PC, but you pay to do it.

Oddly I know have a lusting for bacon, despite being vegetarian. Probably not been consuming enough take away food. As one vegetarian to another, I can recommend frying the bacon on a high heat, and making a sandwich on white slice with butter, tomato ketchup and tabasco or other hot sauce of your choice. Then chuck in the bin and have a nice steak instead.

A minimum of 4, look up Marcella Hazan for the best ragu and minestrone 4hrs to make meat sauce. Hilarious. I'd love to have 4hrs to cook. Tbf. Mrs Cranks mum does it in the oven for about that long and it's a far superior product. I'm making Minestrone tomorrow as it happens so I'll check it out. Ta.
