I've been to the Edinburgh tattoo. It was ok. The main thing I remember is that my mum's friend gave me and my brother 3 mars bars to share and I ate two of them. A textbook 2-1 finger wag scenario.

Morning,
Games. none. TV. none. Booze. None. Chatting at the in-laws. Lots.
Off to the transport museum this morning. Glasgow city council have increased the parking by 540%. Under the guise of getting more visitors as commuters apparently are using the carparks. Utter bollocks.
The Red arrows are doing a flyby this afternoon. I'll not be Amipal'ng it.

Ahh, I love the smell of fresh weekend box in the morning. Mainly sorting out more side quests in Octopath Traveler last night and general faffing about. I just wanted to point out that there are also a number of good cartoons about the game out there in the vastness of the internet. I liked this one, which explains why the game should be called Sociopath Traveler: and this one (explanation: the first one shows the "apothecary" Alfyn. So you can think "okay, a healer can be useful for the party, well, there had to be a weaker character among the eight" and you would be wrong. Because one of Alfyn's move is the devastating "Amputation". What kind of amputation? The with-an-axe kind. The second one is about "the warrior" Olberic and his ability to challenge anyone to a duel. Very noble, you might think (I also very much like the depiction of little Tressa as the lady in distress in the background). Until you find out that he challenges everyone. Old people, women... he beats up everyone if they are in the way. And sometimes when they aren't.) Anyway, so I had more of that last night. This game is going to last me a while.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe (unless you live in Plymouth). Right, I'm off for some intensive psychotherapy.

This weekend we are minders for a 4 yr old with delusions of world dominance. Yesterday I was a bouncy castle. Today my knee is an odd colour and I am learning how to construct things from loom bands. I fear there may not be much gaming unless it involves play-doh. Send help.

I sympathise and am very sorry to hear about your knee. Best strategy is taking the child somewhere where they can tire themselves out without you having to get involved. I'm still haunted by my 4 year old granddaughter's raw, existential terror at the mention of bed time. (While the adults are so tired that they wished they could go to sleep on the spot.)

Following my observations on upside down flags at a Neo-Nazi rally I just read this article on the mayor Sadiq Khan bikini-blimp that's a response to the recent Baby Trump balloon. www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/sep/01/sadiq-khan-balloon-takes-flight-in-londonWhile the original was funny this just seems to be completely confused in its message, but that's not the point. I was wondering about the three people in the foreground and their Union Jack/Stars and Stripes flag that presumably symbolises the closeness of the British-US American relationship. As far as I can make out, there's a stuffed toy puffin sitting on top of the flagpole. What does it symbolise? Is it standing in for the American eagle? I'm confused.

Hello you lot.
My day has consisted of a trip to the park with the boy, followed by cooking lunch for some friends.
Anyone for fajitas?

Hello, I have just watched the trailer for the latest Predator film. Unsurprisingly it looks shit.

Puffin — Graceful in the water, clumsy on land and in the air, out of water there is difficulty finding equilibrium in life, using body language to convey messages, throwing tantrums when upset. The appearance of the Puffin signals a time for prayer.

A friend of mine was served puffin in Iceland. He reported that it tasted like fishy chicken.

If I had known Amipal was bringing fajitas for lunch I wouldn't have bothered cooking pasta. Heads up next time, please!

This is awkward... I mean sure, it would be nice to cook for (some of) you, but it wasn't really an open invitation, you know?
It was followed up with a lemon meringue pie for dessert. YUMMERS.

Felice Landry! Are you packed and ready for your holiday in the sun? We aren't the least bit jealous, not at all. The green shade on our faces means nothing (that exclude Scubar, who's partying in Bratislava anyway). Have a great time!

Chicken burrito.
I have some magnums* in the freezer, but I have to wait for the kids to go to bed as I'm not willing to share.
No games.
*caramel, not praline.
