My heart is a year older than myself. Maybe I shouldn't have admitted to the cholesterol levels after my lunch, which was saag paneer curry with all the paneer. And all the ghee, natch.
I was googling "uncanny valley" for an unsettling avatar. One of the images that pops up is that of Donald Trump. No, thank you.
Bummer for Nottingham to lose that video games museum, but, to be fair, they still got the Robin Hood crap to attract tourists, so... good for Sheffield, I guess. Has anyone ever been to the museum?

I competed at the Megadrive championships there last year, the museum wasn't a great attraction in all honesty. It had a cafe, some arcade machines and a room to rent out from what I remember. |

I think the Heart-a-Tron 2000 is basing its predictions on the population average where you don't provide information (cholestorle, blood pressure), so probably the population is one year older than its age on average. Yes, it is, and according to the G, 78% of people taking the test have an older heart age than chronological age, making the whole thing sound made up and arbitrary. Obviously heart age should be normalised for the population, so only 50% of people can possibly have a heart age higher than their chronological age. Edit: I blame whichever twat first mentioned the test on here. I don't think that is quite right even with a normalised age. It depends on the average you use and on the distribution. If you have a non-bell curve distribution of heart ages it is possible for 50% of the population to be above the mean average and above the modal average. |
