Edit
1. The Boss fight in MGS3 2. Ludwig fight in Bloodborne 3. Beating Nameless King in Dark Souls 3 4. Beginning of Blood and Wine in Witcher 3 5. At the end of MGS4 when Snake and Ocelot are fighting, that fight.

Somehow I'm finding it easier to make a list of moments in Zelda games that I found particularly memorable. Call it awe if you like. Memorable and awe inspiring aren't really the same thing. Babyfarkmcgeezak is a memorable chatterboxer.

I'd call locking the butler in the freezer in Tomb Raider 2 memorable, but I don't think I'd class it as awe inspiring. However, your list sounds about right. I haven't played most Zelda games. That's because I really wanted to include the first place that had the most impact on me but isn't awe inspiring, more a WTF moment. Just like Babyfarkmcgeezak is a memorable chatterboxer.

Oh, and the Silent Realms in Skyward Sword. They aren't awe inspiring either. They just teach you the meaning of fear.
I did not forget to put them on my list. I'm actively repressing my memory of them.

Nice to post a picture of yourself at the bar. Are you having the stuff with the skull on the label?

Went to the Lego exhibition at the Novium museum in Chichester. Saw an 8m long model of the Flying Scotsman. Impressive. 150,000 bricks, a 2 month build for 6 people. Will post pictures. I took my son there a couple of weeks ago. He got upset because he wasn't allowed to smash it all up. I told him to get used to that feeling. It never goes away

The most awe inspiring moments in #games is a tricky one. Like people have said memorable moments can happen quite frequently but truly awe inspiring that's difficult to pin down.
I suppose playing my first games on my new SNES were up there. After being used to Amstrad graphics that certainly felt awe inspiring at the time. Street Fighter 2 and a Link to the Past in particular.
Graphics, man.

Sorry to break awe chat, but are any of the 'boxers who've been to Japan about? Just had one of our days there poleaxed due to someone forgetting to get Studio Ghibli tickets when they were released yesterday (oops, the reminder to get them was on my old phone!), therefore I'm looking for suggestions for things to do there. We already have quite a bit booked in, but bugger me if I can remember it all, there's a reason she's the 'better' half.

My other half has, but it was for a conference and the touristy bits were all arranged by the hosts. However, we've both been enjoying LoadingReadyRun's Kathleen & Graham's vlog of their 2015 Japan trip. Maybe some inspiration there? (Apart from being a jolly good vlog) Edit: Playlist as video doesn't work, here's the first episode

Morning. Steroids are making dog incontinent, so my morning visit to the kettle involved skidding on my heel across the wet kitchen floor. I would like to think I managed this with style and panache, but I dimly remember a lot of arm windmilling during the process. (No head-nodding though) Games - no time Breakfast - 2 sherbet lemons Coffee - Lots Could have been worse, number 2 incontinence

I've not been to Japan. Despite one of my best friends living there for 5 yrs in the 90s when I was single. Why didn't I go? Because I'm an idiot that's why.
Now let's not mention Japan again m'kay.
