tl;dr edit: I'm pumped for a number of games. Thank you. This is not the place to talk about games. I wonder what Destry's up to today? Can he hit the heady heights of 12 mph (or 12 miles per gallon of Merlot)? I'm terribly sorry, I keep making the same mistake. Destry's probably still too giddy after yesterday's cricket results to fall foul of any speed limits. But I've been wondering whether he should be running the half-marathon instead of Pyjakson. It sounds as if he had more training opportunities.

(but not VIII - insert your conspiracy theories here) Allegedly it was coded in a way that makes it a bastard to port. I'm guessing the constant omissions mean that a remake is out of the question too. Bastards, it's my favourite one. I do expect to be buying FFVII and X for the umpteenth time though. A switch version would be superb. Also, I, too, am a little hyped for Animal Crossing. As a 32 year old male I probably shouldn't be but, you know, I'm special, and it's a very addictive game.

Last night I somehow ended up watching Star Wars lore videos on YouTube. Highlights included "what did Darth Vader do in his spare time?" That question has more or less already been answered: www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5xqukXdkmY

Forget baps/barms you want a Morton's crispy roll for your breakfast goods. The king of rolls.
Just had some of Mrs C's mums banana loaf. Outstanding stuff.

Morning! Last night I was too tired to enjoy BDT, let alone play games. I had a snooze and came back to life in time to watch the Nintendo Direct with my preferred mammal and a bottle of whisky. in short, I'm going to PIG OUT on Final Fantasy games. FF VII (but not VIII - insert your conspiracy theories here), IX, X, X/2 and XII Remastered are coming to the Switch. And FF XV Pocket Edition, FF Crystal Chronicles Remastered, World of Final Fantasy Maxima, and Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy. That's a lot of Final Fantasy. I guess Squeenix loves us after Octopussy Travel Inn, and they are showing their love the only way they know how. The Direct started with the glorious announcement of Luigi's Mansion 3 and ended on the most painful announcement possible of a new Animal Crossing game next year. At least I know that I will have some time to play more games before Animal Crossing takes over my life yet again. I thought I had made a clean break after years of addiction, but I guess my dealer has other plans. I'm also looking forward to Katamari Damacy Reroll, Civilization VI (of course), more content for Splatoon 2 which I own and haven't got time to play, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 which I own and haven't got time to play and Mario Tennis Aces which I don't own and haven't got time to play. I for one was excited to hear the announcement for a lot of board games getting digital versions - Carcassonne, Pandemic, some LOTR card game that's probably terribly addictive, Settlers of Catan and Munchkin. Nice. Also Diablo 3. Yes, please. And the new Yoshi game still looks adorable, but what else is new. There was more, but this is what interested me most. Nice having all these games that one can now play on the go. If one has time to play them. tl;dr edit: I'm pumped for a number of games. Thank you. This is not the place to talk about games. I wonder what Destry's up to today? Can he hit the heady heights of 12 mph (or 12 miles per gallon of Merlot)? Tried it again last night. Still 11 mph. * LqL avatar face* Today I am back in sunny* Croydon. *actually cloudy with occasional sunny spells.

I hope you've all watched the Star Wars Holiday Special (Youtube it). Bea Arthur singing, bizarre cooking, VR pron and a space hamster.
All with no budget and Carrie Fisher clearly on something.
4 stars.

Morning all!
More Spiderman last night, fetch questing at it's best.
I watched the Nintendo thing and admired the almost god-tier troll with that Annabelle in Smash.
Isn't Animal Crossing just a shite Stardew Valley?

Isn't Animal Crossing just a shite Stardew Valley? Pretty sure the one I played was Gamecube, but it was similar. Catching bugs, fishing and digging up furniture. Sounds boring as shite but, like Stardew Valley, was almost impossible to stop playing. You could also get playable NES games for your house iirc.

Isn't Animal Crossing just a shite Stardew Valley? Hmmm, not really. Animal Crossing's distinctive feature is that it works in real time. I repeat, in real time. Let me say this again: IN REAL TIME. This means that you are taking toilet breaks at work just so that you can catch that rare butterfly that you've promised one of your villagers in a fit of madness because you forgot that it only shows up between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., well before your lunch break. It means that you can be talking to someone and suddenly find the colour draining from their face while they ask you in a voice that barely conceals their panic what time it is, because they just realised that they were supposed to visit one of the neighbours 10 minutes ago. It means that you are spending Christmas, New Year's Eve, Easter glued to your console to take in the events in your virtual town. It also has a mad, mad, MAD amount of items. Any object you can think of, chances are that it's in the game and that you can put it into your in-game house. Admittedly, so far I haven't seen any sex toys in Animal Crossing, but I wouldn't put it past the development team to have them in the next game, just for the sake of completeness. Oh! and the clothes! So many clothes. My introduction to the game was Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 3DS, and if I remember correctly I finally obtained the last piece of art for my in-game museum more than three years after I got the game on release, having played it every. single. day. Sometimes all day. (I know that there is now a stupid Animal Crossing mobile game. It doesn't even come close to the real thing.)

Very excited about Chocobo Mystery Dungeon though (its basically a Shiren game). Might try Crystal Chronic as well. Now a port of XI for Switch would really be something.

Anyone want a PSN code for the COD BLOPS PUBG mode? Its really good. I think its running all weekend. If I post them then a web-scraping bot will probably nab them straight away but can message them on here.

I don't know what surprises me more: that FFXI is still a going concern or that the PS2 servers were only shut down two years ago.
Was it any good Dank?
