Morning all.
An early night and lack of BD meant that I awoke feeling quite refreshed this morning. I'm also working from home.
Caught up on Travelman last night, and that was about it for my evening.
During the day, I'd picked my shots for the first competition of the camera club season.

I didn't play the first RDR so have no pump for this. I have more pump for COD 4, especially as Realm Royale seems now to be squad only and has abolished the class system.
Howling wind and rain this morning, but brighter down the midlands.

I played a bit of RDR back in the day. I didn't like it. Learn to ride horse, couple of shoot-outs, got locked into a fight with a hard bugger on a horse, couldn't win, gave up.
OTTM: Rocky *SPOILERS* won! I should've had a bet on that, he was the 5-1 outsider.

During the day, I'd picked my shots for the first competition of the camera club season. I'd very much like to see those. It's a shame I couldn't download the St.Pauls rooftop one so I could print and frame it. "Copyright", indeed. Have you not thought of running a part-time business framing & selling your piccy's?

I am putting in a new motherboard, cpu and RAM at the minute, looks like I will need to fork out for Windows 10 though as my existing Windows 7 will probably not boot up after the switch and I don't have the original disk any more. I will also have to buy a USB hard drive to back everything up. It's all a real hassle and I'm sure it won't go smoothly.

Morning!
Finished off Super Mario Bros. 3 last night. First time I've done it I think. Bowser was a bit of a twat, his castle was pretty easy with a feather though. 4 *s, will start again, this time going through the worlds properly rather than using flutes. I do have a certain other NES game to finish first though, Legend of Zelda, the tune is already firmly cemented in my brain.

If your pc is still working go here: www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows7 You can download windows 7 and make a bootable USB to install from. Needs an 8GB I think. You can get the key by downloading a wee tool that installs and tells you. If it's a OEM version though you can't reuse. If you want windows 10 check your inbox.

That was not the biggest drink Thursday in the world but it absolutely was a Tribute.
On this note, I also listened to Throwing Copper by Live for the first time since about 1995 and, whilst it remains an undeniably excellent post-grunge US indie rock record, it sounds disarmingly like an Electric Six/Tenacious D supergroup throughout and is therefore impossible to take at all seriously.
AhhhwoooahhhhaahhHhhhhhaaaahhHaaaaaaaa!! Solo!

You’re thinking of aaahhWOOOOOOahhhwoooahhhahhhwoooawimbawe.
That what I did was clearly the big loud bit out of “I alone” in the idiom of Jack Black.

Listening to Live? I'm assuming you're being forced against your will? a brief trip down memory lane, plus I needed a change of direction from Danish Black Death Folk.

Glasgow September weekend. The child & Mrs Crank are off Fri/Mon.
Last night once I smashed my sister's laptop and created a Michael Dell voodoo doll I watched the last episode of Jack Ryan and had one beer.
Waiting on Asda, then clean the house. I'm hoping the laptop drive just needs a spacer and will then work. Shall try later.

RDR was bobbins. Hours upon hours of a horses ass and having an avatar in brown clothing under a brown hat being attacked by brown animals amongst brown foliage against a background of brown earth. A pre-apocalyptic Metro. When I got anywhere near Mexico the thing glitched to fuck and left me vibrating horizontally through the aforementioned brown ground before fully spazzing out and launching me into a mine. Fastest the fucker ever changed direction. 2 stars. I’d rather play The Witcher.

Use of the term spazzing is perhaps insensitive, but it was a god awful game. I really can’t get on board with the pump train.

I loved Throwing Copper in 1996. You have to remember that we had very low bandwidth in those days, and if you didn't listen to Live then you only had a choice of Spice Girls, Oasis, and rolling a wooden hoop down a cobbled street.
