Didn't they get shamed a while back for poor employment practices too? I've only been to 2 Michelin restaurants I think. Appreciated the quality but didn't particularly enjoy either. In other words, I am a philistine. I'm with you on the philistine front I think. I rarely find expensive restaurants are worth the money paid for them. It's interesting, once you get to 3* you're paying for the experience as much as the food, though the food was very good, I've found that value for money and really good food are at the 1* or just below level. Of course you can eat superb food in places that don't have any "official" recognition as shown by my picture above, the spam fritter was really really good |

I've not eaten a doner kebab since 1992, when I consumed one sober and was ill for 4 days. I get a proustian flashback to the fever dreams every time I walk past a kebab shop door.

I did almost blunder across three moose on the hike trail last evening though, dangerous time being the rut so gently retraced my steps.
