Yep, one small tent, miles of uninhabited land, few paths, shit weather, no people. Living the socially awkward recluse dream, but with poor toilet facilities* and no electricity.
*Poor, but picturesque. Doesn't everyone like dumping outside occasionally?

Ah, I never notice the post count due to mostly chatterboxing on the phone.
Mr Tent Rooster told me today with bemusement how he just saw a news item on the BBC about people pulling a sickie to play the new COD. "I suppose you know all about it" he added.
I told him that if he really wanted to see productivity falling off a cliff he needed to wait until the 26th.

Tonight I had crispy pork belly. Having slow cooked it for five and a half hours yesterday and refrigerated it overnight, I fried it and served it with shredded spring onions and a spicy soy sauce.
It was absolutely delicious.

I know what it's like having had to be with our last cat as he was put to sleep. i say 'had to be' with him. My wife couldn't stay in the room and I couldn't leave him on his own with the vet to 'do the deed'. It was a horrible experience. He was seventeen. (The cat, not the vet) |
