There are far too many Star Wars films now. They need to come out every 5 years or so not every year. There's a guy on youtube who has put together an argument that you can identify a financial crash is on the way by the huge amount of Star Wars' crap in second hand and budget stores.
I'm full of beans today and in the office early.

I'm full of beans today and in the office early. I really hope they are baked beans. Anyway, catching up on last nights post re: first music purchases. 1) The soundtrack to Jaws, on cassette. 2) 7 inch of Green Onions by Booker T & The MGs (re-issue). 3) LP of Dirk Wears White Sox - Adam & The Ants (I'm lying, that was my 4th purchase. I'm not telling you the 3rd one). I wonder if anyone out there has heard or like me, still owns, a copy of 'Dirk' and his fabulous white sox? * *Destry. Croydon is mentioned in one of the songs.

Morning friends!
COD delivered on Friday and I played it for a very long time.
It's the first one in a while that I actually crave going back to all the time. The multiplayer and Blackout are fun.
Zombies can go away.

1979 release of Dirk Wears White Sox or 83 reissue? Jesus MrTiddles if you're not going to give us proper information... First album bought was Kings of the Wild Frontier. First album asked for and bought for me was Outlandos d'Amour. First album owned was probably something I got from my cousins - a Disney thing. I did own a Spiderman album which I wish I still owned. It would have been sample-tastic. I think this is it: www.discogs.com/Hero-Spider-Man-Rock-Reflections-Of-A-Superhero/release/3484186

Zombies can go away. Did you win any matches? Are you playing on PS4? Is it smooth? I heard they were problems with the squad games.

It was the 1979 version. The one with the booklet inside. I had to get my older brother to buy it for me. Oh, the excitement of giving my brother the cash and waiting outside for him to score the goods. My first album was also Kings of the Wild Frontier (that was no.3 on my list). I also have Outlandos d'Amour. Spooky coincidence. Never mind, all together now:- 'Roxxaannneeee! You don't have to put on the red light...'

The first album I bought with my own money (as opposed to Now 24 or whatever my parents would get me) was What's the Story Morning Glory.

Mornin' First single - Eye of the Tiger / Come on Eileen ( bought at the same time ). Good choices. However, I prefer 'Geno' to 'Eileen'.

I'm quite partial to a bit of Public Enemy and their sublime composition 'You're gonna get yours'.

Jesus, there’s some appaling stuff up there. Album: Thriller. Single, probably I Want To Go Where The People Go by the Wildhearts. Never bought singles as a kid.
Weekend. Effective.
Blops? Maybe. Not sure. Noncommittal approach to games purchasing at the moment.

Pretty sure my first album purchase was Slippery When Wet on cassette and first single was 19 by Paul Hardcastle. This information confirms that I am the coolest.

I'm with cobblers (not literally with him - I haven't had the prerequisite shots) - would rather buy an album than a single.
But... the first single I bought was Lost in Space by Apollo 440.
Hello all. There seems to be a lot of hubbub about the police spying on left-wing groups. During the Cold War. People are bloody idiots.
I wanted to carry on with the funtastic Black Flag last night, but instead carries on with Halt and Catch Fire. I also watched "A Gun for George" by Matt Holness.

I know I started this topic, but I couldn't really tell you what my next musical purchases were. That's because both my father and my brother had enormous record collections and I just borrowed from them most of the time. I simply put whatever I wanted on tape. My brother's collection was classical music, while my father's ambition was to get a copy of everything that had been in the various charts since charts had been invented (plus whatever interested him).
My dad downsized severely after CDs were becoming common, and the rest he gave to a lucky former neighbour before he died. I shudder to think what it would be worth today. There was really never any need to gain space - it was then just filled with knick-knacks - but he had a thing about being as tidy and efficient as possible. Oh well.
