Just messed up the 2nd deer. Poor wee thing had to crawl away and die. I'm a monster. Those stupid wolves annoyed me at the start, slowly getting used to the aiming from horseback Still only playing in bursts, first major session will be Monday, you need a good few hours to get into it |

Eejit. He tried to go up a steep bit and I moved the wrong way and we fell over. 4 stars. |

Sober October came to a rather abrupt, and delicious, end on Friday. My weapons of choice were:
Magic Rock x verdant - what are the odds?
Lervig - three bean stout
Vocation x yeastie boys - breakfast club
Crank, pro tip for early RDR2 - when you're driving a wagon and get separated from the convoy, you can speed up. I only worked this out when they ran out of dialogue and I was still miles from the destination...

Cheers for the tip. That was the point I packed it in previous game as they were chatting. I read somewhere else if you make a way point go into cinema mode and the horse will follow it so you can go to the fridge, go for a pee, order pizza, skin up, whatever. |

Morning all. The extra hour in bed has translated into a much less knackered feeling overall. Four stars.
Games: Carried on with a bit of the story on Black Flag, as well as doing some serious upgrades to the Jackdaw.
A better upgrade would be to actually use the ships you board. Then I wouldn't be stuck with a glorified sloop. Still, ships like that did alright in the Med harassing the French, so maybe she's not that bad.
Photos: continued processing the London shoot from last weekend. I've managed to kill my Mac twice while doing so, which is slightly worrying - no error message displayed, just a spinning beachball of death, followed by no mouse being shown, followed by a reboot to the log-in screen. Hmm.

The Lervig stout was 11%, but at least it was just a bottle. Those three hit me hard, glad I didn't go with my plan of starting on a day drinking session with my mates on the third. I wouldn't have lasted. That's something I was wishing was in the game, was worried how long the journeys would be once you escape the intro. |

Morning all. Finally got round to playing RDR2 last night. It’s amazing, looks absolutely gorgeous and I’m hooked already. Used my extra hour to crack on a bit more and am now out of the snow. I haven’t got my horse killed yet either.

Anybody tackle the bear on the way back after {spoiler}? I just rode round it. Might go for it this time but it's a possibly asking for a quick death.
The child woke at what would have been 7 but was 6. Could have been worse.

Trying to decide what to name my horse - Dr Bolloctopus, referencing the other recent Sony AAA gane, is a current front runner.
I actually had time to play RDR2, its certainly a looker. Also survived a run in with the mother outlaw without being called fat. Either I've lost weight or she's slipping.
