Because I live in the middle of nowhere I've plumped for the Xbox one S deal Online with free shipping and got console, red dead two, Forza four and another game bundled for the equivalent of 200gbp. I'm happy than a pig in muck.

That's a great deal toolio2010I really want a go at Forza. If I can manage to get a gaming laptop in the sales I'll get it. I read the Xbox game pass thing might be coming to PC's as well. Morning ya dirty varmints, TV. More community. Lots of chuckles and laughs. Games. One delivery in GTA as more of a reason to chat to my pal as we'd not spoken this week. The main event. RDR2. Still getting to grips with the weapon/stuff wheel. Got bitten by wolves - did you all manage to avoid getting bitten? Shot them all dead but still. Hog tied the boy. And turned off after that as it was late. Enjoying it so far. The companion app arses your battery on the device it's installed on btw as the screen is always on. More tonight during strictly. Mrs Crank had to defrost the car this morning. Eek. |

Crank - I got to exactly the same place as you. Didn't have any problems with the wolves, but did manage to ride my horse the wrong way straight up the mountain, thereby failing the mission.
So far so good, but it feels a bit linear at the moment.

The linearity of RDR2: once you leave the snow you're nearly at the open world.
I have a friend who had the breathtaking arrogance of being born on this day some years ago now and is celebrating with a birthday "brunch", AKA an entire day without RDR2 for bloggie.
Who should I berate, him or go straight to the source and go round his parents?

I'm still playing Deadspace3 (classic mode). I've just worked out (googled) how to use the ration seals. Gamechanger. All this effort for a foam hand weapon.
OTTM: I really need a shave, these toes are getting rather hirsute.

crankcaller Isle of Rum. Weather was absolutely piss for three days, wet, misty, windy, cloudy. I camped about half a mile away from a massive mountain and didn't see the top of it once in three days. Also, my tent is not as waterproof as I thought. Weather was much nicer yesterday, showery, some sun, some hail, nicer views, less cloudy. There is snow today, and nice views from the train. Didn't see any eagles. The shop on Rum, a 13km walk from my tent, didn't have any copies of RDR2, and wasn't open at midnight. Fortunately there was no phone reception, so I couldn't liveblog my shameful failure.
