I await the delivery of my 480gb SSD - £59... I'm just hoping that Amazon Logistics don't do their current trick of quietly tapping on the window, waiting a millisecond, slipping it through the door so it lands on the airlock floor with a thump...
I hear the noise, hurple my way to the door to see a slim parcel marked "Fragile" on the carpeted concrete and some red tail lights snaking out of the close ... I then have to manoeuvre the damned thing off the floor with a grab stick rated at 1.5kg. Inevitably I will drop it several more times. I try and look at this as crash-testing ... When I check on my PC it will say "Handed to Resident"... Lying fuckers...

Morning all! Back in work. Is quiet. Yet still shit*. Finally purchased all the bits for the new beast mode rig so should be spending next weekend assembling. Games wise, got around to finishing The Surge, roughly a year after starting. Last boss was a bit of a fucker. One hit kills all over the place. Pretty much had to go the whole fight without getting hit. CDKeys sale is pretty good at the minute. Got Final Fantasy XV (+ all DLC) for £15, Fallout 4 GOTY edition for a tenner and Fallout 76 also just a tenner. Thought, for that price, it was worth giving Fallout 76 a try. I've paid more for worse in the past, I'm sure. *Forgot to pick up the Switch this morning. It's still sat on the arm of the settee  |

Morning all! CDKeys sale is pretty good at the minute. Got Final Fantasy XV (+ all DLC) for £15, Fallout 4 GOTY edition for a tenner and Fallout 76 also just a tenner. Thought, for that price, it was worth giving Fallout 76 a try. I've paid more for worse in the past, I'm sure. As long as you don't expect Fallout 5, '76 can be fun, it's not as buggy as when released, I've only played solo and had no problems, my only advice is to follow the main story for a bit before exploring and watch a video about character build/perk cards as it is different to previous games and if you plan to play solo aim for Lone Wanderer which you can pick up at level 4 and maxes out at 3* after spending 4 points in Charisma, this is a good site for seeing what stuff costs and when you can get them: Fallout 76 SPECIAL Also don't buy anything in the Atom shop as the prices are ridiculous |

Thanks Felice! Although, I think it'll be a while before I play it. Have another 24 hours of downloading for FFXV to finish yet (don't you just love 1.8 mb internet?) . . . Which means, even if I start FO:76 downloading straight after, it'll still be Monday before I can play.
On a related note, fuck Virgin and fuck BT/ Openreach. But, most of all, fuck Sky.

First world problems, I know, but still a piss take in this day and age*.
The real kicker is that 95% of our road now have Virgin but some fucker on our little bit didn't sign the way-leave so they couldn't dig up our bit of road.
Still baffles me how, after losing ~30 houses worth of customers, our speed still hasn't improved. Best guess is that it's being limited by Sky** rather than traffic.
*My God, I sound old.

Poor old faceless. The in laws have broken the ps4 and are moving in for good. Each day a strange accident will relieve faceless of a prized possession. Sanity starts to creak. That ornament wasn't there yesterday. This liver and onions tastes strangely sweet. Next door calls round "have you seen my cat?"....

After two days ensconced within various houses, it was good to get out this morning in the fresh air and sunshine for a walk along the beach.
I have now been tasked with going to B&Q to fetch some postcrete to get a rotary washing line put up in the back garden.
What have I done to earn this?

I'm currently co-building Lego BB8. It's pretty tricky and no mistake. Good fun though. Better than work. Anything is.
Also, I've now gone 11 hours without alcohol. Hero or what.
Going to venture out for a walk and some fresh air soon. Good preparation for MarioKart family fueds later. We are also going to hopefully start Zelda tonight.
I've also played a few games of Fortnite on switch too. Solo. Several kills in most games. Maybe I'm a natural. No wins though as I'm not a child.

Being tasked with putting up a new rotary buddies! I've managed to procrastinate with the made up, but convincing, 'it's better to wait for the ground to be less damp, helps the postcrete set better' The rolled eyes and tutting, followed by walking away muttering 'lazy tosser' means I think I got away with it for today. 1-0 finger wag. Oh. |
