Oh, I posted this earlier and then copped a stop, but one should stand by their statements, shouldn't they? Can you really make actual friends from these places? To me this is more like some kind of horrific virtual Ripley's believe it or not. And most of the time I can't/won't believe it. Of course you can make friends in the 'box; just don't expect them to ooze over you. I read most of the nonsense the guys and guyesses write with great affection whilst regarding most of them as slack-jawed, knuckle-dragging Neanderthals whose primary measure of how good a game is the number of fast twitch, bloody ways they can kill things - preferably each other... |

It's like a TV preacher taking over the rights to the Bible and rewriting the OT, changing the prophets to a make them women and/or black, white etc, rather than what they were.
Most of all I hate the destruction of the thread of quasi-history that enabled the ready suspension of disbelief, the extirpation of that sense of wonder we originally shared; its replacement with a deflating mundanity tinged with misandry. "What fools men are..." Maybe, but not enough to buy any more of this revisionist nonsense.
Next they will get the rights to LotR and we will find that Radagast the Gay and Gandalf the Bi have their own set of romantic adventures before sailing off from the Grey Havens (or Blue Havens in the PG version..."

Morning! Just taken delivery of the last piece needed to start work on the beast mode rig! And then I realised I don't have any thermal paste. Fucking amateur hour over here. Oh well, maybe somewhere in Stockton will stock it . . . lol. The weekend it is then  This weekend I have been mostly playing Fallout 76. Dare I say it? It's pretty good. This may be due to the fact that I went in with low expectations, or that I only paid 10 English pounds* for it, but I'm having fun anyway. Currently lvl 14 and happily marching around a water park at the request of a robot mayor. Spent 30 mins fighting a helicopter and delivery bot last night to steal someones post apocalyptic Amazon delivery. Got a nuclear silo access card from it so I can only assume it must've been worth it. * And we know how little they're worth these days. |

Spent most of last night playing Breath of the Wild. You may have heard of it.
Can't wait to see it on the tv instead of the wee screen.
Somehow cooking up stuff to make elixirs and the like doesn't annoy me the way it did it rdr2.
We've got Scotch pies for lunch. Probably been 20yrs since I've had one.

What I'd like to see in 2019 is people just being a little less like MASSIVE COCKS online. Less jumping down each other's throats, more understanding the "grey" of a situation.
Anyway. No games last night, but did watch a humorous Red Letter Media on the Reaident Evil films. Good watchin'.
