Thank you very much, already ordered, arriving tomorrow, I added the SD card, I don't have wireless head phones so that's not an issue, I'm looking at the Pro-controller for later, how long do the joy-cons last? So that's at least 3 of us that will be travelling through the Octopus Garden, any tips on that? Ooh, join the club! The joy-cons last supposedly for 20 hours. Since I just use them completely detached I re-attach them at the end of the day and therefore never had an issue with running out of battery. Octopus Garden: it's important to be happy with your starter character as they can't be taken off your team until you've completed their particular story many, many hours later. In principle the characters are well balanced, but I would say that Therion (the thief) and Cyrus (the scholar) are probably the easiest starters. I don't want to go too much into the reasons why because of spoilers. It is worth enhancing your thief's speed as much as possible, you'll eventually see why. You don't have to collect all characters, but what would be the point of not doing it? However, don't expect them to interact until much later, the second chapter, for the first time; I'm near the end and only now getting a lot of character interactions (today Olberic was complaining about back pain; he has my sympathy). Keep an eye out for treasure chests, it's a nuisance having to go back and open them later. Any money problems, get Tressa (the merchant) on the team early on. Earlier today I watched another "best games of 2018" type of video that featured Octopus Gardener with the comment "but good luck 100%ing that game", and I thought "quite".

Thanks, one last question, (for today), I've not delved too deeply, but I have had a quick look at the characters and must admit am leaning towards either Primrose or H'aanit, thoughts?

I'm possibly going to get one of these www.8bitdo.com/wireless-usb-adapter/Lets you use your DS4 or xbone controller with the switch. Including the gyro stuff. Only downside is it's only in docked mode I think. I've already got 2 ds4 controllers, a controller for my Nvidia shield TV and the joycons. Another controller appearing would get me my baws booted probably. {Edit} It does work undocked - but needs an otg cable which I have. Also it's only the newer xbone s/X controller's.

Thanks, one last question, (for today), I've not delved too deeply, but I have had a quick look at the characters and must admit am leaning towards either Primrose or H'aanit, thoughts? Hmmmm. I like both a lot, their characters and their stories, and if you want to start with either of them there's no doubt you'll be fine - you'll pick up more teammates anyway. However, Primrose's move set is probably the most beginner-unfriendly there is. I use the dancer very little, although I know of players who swear by combining her divine skill later in the game with other characters' moves, and one of her moves was voted the most popular one of the game in a survey (but, interestingly, only in the West, Japanese and Korean players disagreed). She also has terrible health at the beginning; I compensated for that by feeding her nuts and getting Therion to steal the right kind of bling for her... So, she's Marmite and I don't like Marmite. (She's still a wonderful character, just from a gameplay point of view). H'aanit is a different matter. She's one of the characters who, given the right kind of enemy weakness, can break through an opponent's shield very quickly, and her ability to catch enemies and harness their power is great. She's also located near Therion, so it's easy to pick him up next - his speciality is opening certain treasure chests, so it's worth taking him along to any new area. I also like H'aanit's bonkers Middle English dialogue, although some will find it tedious. I love her "missedst me!" during battle...

I made it to chapter 4 on RDR2. The end of chapter 3 was pretty intense.
After all that excitement I need to go camping in the woods. Do some fishun'. Maybe skin a 'gator.
Maybe I'll have a ho down too.

I agree. It is brilliant. It fits so many scenarios. In particular, being a regular visitor to this parish.
It makes me think about my previous job where I was manager of staff. Just to have been able to hold that up on an iPad/gif each time one of the numbskulls appeared at my desk/phoned/messaged with a "problem" makes me smile.
Eg. No you can't work at home because your partner didn't clean your work pants. Buy some from a shop on the way to the office. You buffoon.

Felice Landry! Stop the press! I've just realised that Octopus Garden is still on New Year's sale in the e-shop for £29.99 until the 10th, i.e. a tenner less than Amazon! If you are happy to have it digitally only.

Thanks, but we all know I'm not going to do that Meh. That's too British. Mustn't grumble, mustn't make a fuss... Yes, but we all know that Amazon (and Jeff Bezos) need the money. Support your local multinational, tax avoiding, profiteering, high street crippling, business destroying, conglomerate. You know it makes sense. EDIT: I use them all the time, but would I send something back if I found it ten quid cheaper? Fuck, yes...

Octogenarian Gardens - I went with Olberic as my main character as I like a big weapon.
Cyrus seems to be my number two, then Primrose and Tressa.
I’ve just finished chapter 2 for all four of those and have left the B team miles behind - so much so that I fear I won’t go back to them.
Anyway, I’m having too much fun with Mario v Rabbids
Kit - I got a hard shell case, screen protector and a 64GB card. Pokemon Let’s Go, Dark Souls, Ococlot Trainspotter, Monster Hunter, Mario Odyssey and R-Type.
