We just watched Alastair Sim in "Scrooge", so I'm slightly more confused than normal
<edit> Happy New Year!

The Resident Evil 2 demo is all kinds of good. I'd like to play it again.

I read a synopsis of an episode of that recently on the TV guide and thought to myself "Strange. I've not seen that one..." Quickly realised it wasn't Father Ted.
Morning. Already spent part of the day trying to get blood out a carpet. Nothing Tiddle-esqe or anything wrong officer.
Child off to a party at lunchtime so we're possibly getting out for lunch.
Didn't do much last night despite it being Fri. All tremendously exciting stuff I'm sure you'll agree.

Father Brown chat! I watched an episode of that over the holidays because my father in law like it. It was not the worst thing I have seen, but that's partly because we watched Death in Paradise beforehand. That is the most stunningly am-dram show I have ever seen in a primetime slot. Ardal o'Hanlon texts it in, and basically just does Father Dougal with a few fewer eyebrow raises, while supposedly solving serious crime. After that it was a relief to get back to his usual Last of the Summer Wine marathon on the DVR.

There are some excellent footballer / steak puns on the Ribery (Ribeye-ry) article at the other place. I'm disappointed in all of us that we didn't beat them to it.

Morning
A little bit more Soma last night. Really good game. A couple of times I shrieked and ran off in a blind panic from scary diver Xmas tree lights monster man. There might be a way to fight them but I'm too scared to wait around and find out. I've also got a nice woman living inside my omnitool.
OTTM - I don't know how to do a link, but there is a nice article at the other place on Birding in RDR2. Being an interest of mine I also have used the in game Binnos to spot birds. Although I'm usually doing it so I can murder them for resources.
OTTM - just about to start my regular Saturday job, Dad's Taxi's. With a bit of luck I'll be home by 4pm. #prayfortuffers

@tent hen - Dark Souls and I have agreed to a conscious uncoupling. I've met another game called RDR2 and am very much in love. Once that's worn off I'll go crawling back. I'm pretty sure I was near the end.

I have the book for this. Never forget Mick Hucknall's Pink Pancakes. Still some of Charlie Brooker's best work imo. 'Fun Goose or War' is a personal favourite.

Presumably birding in RDRR involves blasting them with a shotgun?

I can already see Dark Souls making Faceless sleep on the sofa once he's crawled back.
Morning! For I've only just got up and had breakfast after having a record-breaking lie-in. This is my morning. This is what brunch was invented for.
If I start gaming in the afternoon I will have had a productive day.
Apropos relationship problems, recently I had my interest piqued (sorry, I meant peaked) by a YouTube gaming channel that was discussing "why women aren't attracted to gamers". The discussion was between what I took to be the usual host and his sister, who got divorced from a guy who was playing video games all the time while she was cleaning. She would not concede that she had any hobby and do anything that "was not productive". The general consensus was that games are for children and the feeble-minded, so nothing new there.
There was a thread that started with a heavily upvoted comment that stated that women very rarely have hobbies, something the commenter had discovered by picking up the courage to talk to a lot of women. A dozen or so others confirmed this observation, including those who were supposedly married to such women.
In short, it looked as if they all deserved to make each other miserable. What beautiful karma.

Games, only one go on rdr this week. Finished it before Christmas but now back on it again, no rush to do any of the missions but think I might try all the challenges and things.

Fans of Star Citizen, Elite etc., should take a look at this... just watched a video: I didn't expect this game to be so incredible... introducing X4: Foundations www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZHqid2t7vMThe commentator is a gusher, probably kissing the screen at points, but his enthusiasm is infections. How I wish I could play these games!

OTTM: I have purchased some Linda McCartney mozzarella burgers, based on Shenguin's review. I then remembered that he is dead.
I done messed up there, and no mistake.

I had a friend who refused to read fiction because ‘it’s a waste of time because it’s not real’. They still watched TV and went to the cinema.

To be fair if the wife was playing animal crossing all day while I did the cleaning I’d probably get a bit annoyed too.
Much better to not do the cleaning and both lounge around all day.
