Is it PC MrTiddles or a console? Lunch is about to be burger n chips. Out at a family pub place. A phrase that strikes fear into most hardened drinkers. My neck still has a pain in it.

*mustn't make red ring joke*
Loads of good really cheap games in cex for 360 & PS3. If I had the space, time etc I'd probably get a 360. They're both hackable as well if you're a dirty pirate. When I say you, I mean me.

Just asked the child if she was enjoying her pasta lunch. "Yes it's nice. It's like pasta with pizza sauce... And luckily it's cold"

Battle royal, Japanese films 1 and 2 are good. Not sure about the Hunger games ones, they seemed to end up with more films than books but not quite the way of the Hobbit though.

The Hobbit was enjoyable, but nonetheless at least one film too long: "... sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.” Jackson was too self-indulgent ... I'm hoping that Mortal Engines doesn't show bloat ...

Hello. Yesterday I drank a lot in Cambridge, the headquarters of the red trouser brigade. Today I am undertaking a 7 hour train journey home, ample time to reflect on my poor life choices. No games.

I watched Battle Royale for the first time years on Friday. I'd been looking forward to hearing it in surround sound for the first time but, as it turns out, Tartan Video didn't see the need to add the 5.1 audio to the dvd 15 years ago.
I'm also gutted to be at the age where I have things that have 'suddenly' become 15 years old.

Beef cooked perfectly, shame I can't do the same with rolled sirloin, I blame someone else
Watched on BBC iPlayer archive episodes of; Floyd on France, Ken Hom and Delia's first ever cookery course, all wonderful, Delia's looked like it was recorded in real time and she was right about pulses and beans and I still remember the test for fresh eggs, splendid
<edit> 4*

I had another bash on Aphex Legions and have now managed to kill a couple of people, got the hang of it now and am starting to like it.

Are you talking about the guardian pick that just them moaning about comments being open on this but not for the ferry story?
It was a really weird pick to begin with, maybe a final rebellious act by one of FRANK'S little helpers on their final day?

Felice Landry, I know it's a pig (oops) to carve, but on the bone a couple of ribs really does make the cooking more even and, more importantly, the flavour is greatly improved, provided you let it rest long enough ... I'd always left it 20-25 minutes, but a good friend who was a brilliant cook told me that I should let it rest for approximately as long as I cooked it. And it really works!

It was a funny one about chimps being picked by Theresa May for their intelligence to replace Chris Grayling.

Got some Ape Leg in earlier, it’s good stuff but you have to be in the right mood for those battle royale games.
Also the DMC demo - it’s ok, feels a bit weird not being able to dodge.
Anyone managed any pump for Metro Exodus?? And the completely fictional but entirely possible Nintendo direct on Wednesday?? I think I may actually go all month without Buying and games
While I’m filing my gaming receipts - Resident evil 2. I’m amazed by either how well the original design holds up, or how well they have updated it. 4 stars

We've got some new Switch owners here who have not even experienced a Nintendo Direct yet! They better come up with something good soon! Nintendo Directs always make me aware of how much I miss Iwata.

Cabinet backs Chris Grayling after ferry fiasco, says minister
Of course they do. If they sacked every cabinet minister for incompetence there'd be nobody left.
And then what state would we be in?*
* What's that you say?.....Ohhh...

Games: none.
OTTM: Birmingham won on Saturday. Sounded good, high-scoring, and exciting, but I didn't manage to go.
Diplomacy: really getting the kick fucked out of me in a couple of different games. In other stuff, I moved house, 220 miles, to move in with a mammal who tolerates me. Apparently two children already live in the same house that I now live in.
