I'm going to read up on Diplomacy, I've played Civ Rev, how hard can it be? and, I have studied modern military history. My only foray into Dip is that some people are nice and some are bastards and there will be constant reminders to "take your turn" 4* <edit> also someone will cop a strop

I'm going to read up on Diplomacy, I've played Civ Rev, how hard can it be? and, I have studied modern military history. Bloody hell was that still going. You'll do better than me that's for sure. My top tip is remember you're actually playing a game of dip and log onto the website every day. Dunno if you're at a disadvantage only on a phone or not?

Nursey on her way and after Tuesday's eye-popping agony I'm up to the eyeballs in morphine ... I've discovered that I've been limiting myself. Because I am a fat bap I need more to decouple the synaptic pain train... I don't think it'll do more than take the edge off, but it does a very effective job of closing down the higher brain functions - not that you'll notice ... MrTiddles, I'll field your questions at some point ... probably over t'weekend

No will power you say? Shoosh you.

These innovative anti-witch markings are exactly the kind of thinking we need in Brexit Britain. Send Theresa Bae down the Channel tunnel with a chisel to put down some anti-french markings to keep Johnny French out of Dover. Could also be useful for the Irish border. This idea has got legs. amipal Could you advise the PM? The thing you've got to understand about the French military is that they have no "legs" - a distinct lack of transport and logistical support - which makes any form of expeditionary warfare very limited.

Dear Marjorie, I've just discovered my favourite organic peanut butter has "sustainable palm oil" as an ingredient. Should I be worried? What's all the fuss about? One minute it's good, one minute it's bad. Confused Consumer, Southside Massive (bap) Palm oil in and of itself isn't bad, it's the fact they're cutting down huge swathes of orang habitat etc. to grow it commercially.

Ooh, I just had my first two matches. 76th and 51st, first I got a bit confused about the controls, then I managed to mess up badly, still not quite sure why it happened. This is a dangerous game. I got stuff to do and places to be. And yes, BabyfarkmcGeezak, I appreciated Keza's killer line very much. Hard not to think about it whilst playing the game.

The French army traditionally marches on its stomach. You don't need legs for that.

It may explain why they are not very good at marching.

The French army traditionally marches on its stomach. You don't need legs for that. It's getting them to where they need to be, and then making sure they have enough frogs' legs and baguettes to fight that's the problem. The EU has a bit of an issue with the UK leaving, as ours is one of the only militaries in Europe with extensive transport capabilities. No point them saying that they'll intervene somewhere if they can't get there in the first place.
