I finished Metro 2033 last night. It is an excellent game. Though the last level goes a bit odd. Like theanimus bits of AC Revelations. I have started Metro Last Light. By the time I finish it (most likely in 2027 based on how long it took me to play 2033) I will be Metroed out. I've never finished Metro 2033, is it all tunnels or does it get more interesting? All I remember of it is those man powered train track car things and having rubbish bullets. Having played the start of Metro Exodus (on easy), I'm not sure I could go back anyway, I was only playing 2033 in the hope that it would be at least a tiny bit like STALKER.

Creme eggs are too sweet nowadays. Other confectionary eggs are available.
TV. Modern Family & Community. Games. GTA for a change. Just a couple of dupes sold and a couple of deliveries.

Workblog! I'm on 1st floor.... builders currently working on floor above stripping out asbestos and other such lovelies. Mid morning we are interrupted by a proper bloodcurdling male scream from outside, followed by bellows for help and further cries. These were of such an 'I'm-not-dicking-about-but-am-proper-hurt' variety that me and a mate went down to investigate. Neither of us are first-aiders, but would have given him a prod. Got to ground floor, and were ready to look for some bloke outside with his knees under his armpits, but before we got to the door realised the cries were coming up the cargo-lift, and one of the builders had got himself locked in the bottom of the shaft and was having a complete claustrophobic meltdown. Doors all locked so nothing we could do except call security - spotted one of his mates wandering about so pointed him in the direction of the frantic banging, only to be greeted with such a look of unconcern that we wondered if this was some prank they were pulling on the newbie. Didn't fancy being there when they eventually let him out, as he sounded like he'd come out fists-swinging and flatten whoever was in his way so went back to work. 4*s That's some dangerous shit, I worked with white asbestos when I was young, we didn't have the understanding of the health risks they have these days. I'm surprised that they would allow anyone with 500 yds of the work area. (pointy sticks are useful when in an emergency situation).

Shooting enemies in tunnels is interesting. How very dare you? I got better bullets and it got a bit easier. The Metro games are mostly made by the STALKER people. I think that in many ways they are tonally similar, while being different. I like the claustrophobic horror style and the Russian pessimistic humour. I also loved Singularity. PYJacksonLess of the ironic hipster bullshit and more of just getting older and having 36 years worth of playing games (from getting a Spectrum. I'd played an Atari and occasionally in arcades before that)

Is it too early for a tune. This has been rattling around in my head for 3 days. I need to exorcise it. Or at least exercise it. Go Patti

As the main victim of Shengweinstein's nasty bullying I do not think you are taking things seriously enough. I will be sueing both the platform and the enablers.
Shengweinstein need to be stopped or at least branded so that there are no more victims of his potty mouth. I suggest something like Nathaniel Hawthorne's Scarlet Letter A. But done for modern times so it would be maroon or claret, not scarlet. I would go for embroidering Dirty Vicious Bastard rather than adulteress on his clothing

PYJacksonLess of the ironic hipster bullshit and more of just getting older and having 36 years worth of playing games (from getting a Spectrum. I'd played an Atari and occasionally in arcades before that) I just meant it would have been a total hipster move to play and complete the original instead of the remake. I'm finishing up in about an hour and a half for a wee jaunt to Edinburgh. Craft beer and sushi are on the agenda, pity the folk on the last train that have to deal with me and my mate.

I can't stand Sushi, it's like eating rubber that's been in the fridge. I do not have the most refined palate though it has to be said.

Feel this soap, you bunch of Capri Bananas?
Is it pub time yet? How about now? Now? Now yet?
I started listening to fun music at lunchtime; a serious error as I’ve now completely lost all remaining interest, however slight, in work.

Also - the guy talking about craft beer & sushi accusing someone of hipster behaviour! All the lolz.
What do hipsters eat anyway? Kimchee? Vegan burgers? Or they too mainstream?
{Edit}That's not a dig btw.

Qhwew EW you going for sushi in Edinburgh? yo sushi? bonsai bar? top authentic venues. I'm basically just asking so wherever you are planning on going, I can say that Hakataya is better.

My lifetime consumption of oysters, in round numbers, is 1.
This was immediately followed by a pillion ride on my mates bike, and me trying not to puke in a borrowed lid.

Chizuru Tei, near Haymarket. I used a little known insider trick to choose the restaurant, simply searching for Sushi in Edinburgh on trip advisor and sorting by rating. I have been before though, and it's good. It's also BYOB and near a good beer shop, which helps. Crank Your one seems to still be open. A "bright and buzzy Japanese eatery" according to google maps.
