Diplomacy Some insight into how a pla-yuh* thinks about a set of movea:Let's take Germany or (What to do when shit hits fan) "WTF do you think I'm trying to do!" - Felice Landry "Not now, Smörgåsbord first, Sauerkraut later" - @bloggiesmalla "What would you suggest at this stage?" - 'Asking for a friend' "I can't even keep my own stuff" - 'A friend' Position shown is after Spring '02How to think a move through ...
First "What do you know, what can you deduce"
England needs to move NTH-Nwy to cover Russia moving to Nwy; his Den/Swe units will stay where they are (unless Bloggie misses the obvious Rolling Russian move StP supports SKA-Nwy) England's moves should be:
NWG sup NTH-Nwy ; Edi-NTH ; Den, Swe both hold, although the latter should support NTH-Nwy
That means you only need consider France's pieces
1. France can see that you can support Mun, so he'll likely consider Hol his most probable gain from you as you can't support it in place 2. Two ways to take Hol; Bel-Hol, or Ruh-Hol with the other unit supporting ... 3. You can break the Ruh support so his move should be Bel sup Ruh-Hol.
Next bit, where Mun should move is less obvious. But 4. he'll think you'll not move out of Mun without covering Mun with Sil-Mun. 5. He'll think therefore that a move to Mun is a waste and he'll be wanting to bring to bear one of his army builds so he will most likely move Bur-Ruh; Ruh is the hinge for the door into Gernany. So I reckon Bel sup Ruh-Hol, Bur-Mun, Mar-Bur, Por holds
Given those moves I would move Hol-NTH (Fucks up one of Bloggie's moves by either breaking a support or stopping Edi-NTH) and Mun-Ruh, Sil-Ber. The beauty of Mun-Ruh is that it stops Ruh being occupied and avoids giving France 4 active armies vs your 3 units AND in the event he has a mindstorm and orders Ruh supports Bel-Hol, then nothing of his moves. And you get Sil into Ber where it can get to both Mun and Kie.
I have to get a break now, I do have more to say so please don't press ready yet ..... Other thoughts
a. England might offer France: Den support Ruh-Kie, but why would France swap the certainty of taking Hol with Bel sup Ruh-Hol for the move to Kie where even if it's successful Felicia would be dependent on England for further support ... b. Remember my jumping up and down shouting at mlu that F Kie-Hol was a bloody daft idea - now it becomes obvious that its inability to support inland is a major tactical limitation. c. Ordering F Hol to support anything Forget it Scubar, it will 100% be broken... d. There might be an outside chance of doing something funky with the F Hol retreat...
(Disclaimer: I am NOT a clown, nor do I have my hand up that boy's bum, and Scubar is certainly NOT a small boy about to pee all over me err, that clown... you bastards, I know you're thinking that... rotters, bunch of....)

Now who can argue with that? I think we're all indebted to Chumbles for stating what needed to be said. I am particularly glad that these lovely children are here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed the courage little seen in this day and age.

I'm at an airport waiting to go to Paris and I wish I was back in bed. I am saving Chumbles's Dip training montage to stave off thoughts of death during the flight.

Also, I just had a sausage and egg brioche from Pret. Whoever started this craze for putting sausages and burgers on pseudo-cake needs to have a fucking word with themselves. What the hell is wrong with a good old fashioned bap?

I had to look up what a brioche bun was. I've led a very sheltered life.

Ah, WeeCooper, I am grateful for those words from our indisputable expert on "authentic frontier gibberish" having spoken it from birth ...

Pret eh? The bacon, cheese & tomato croissant is good - though I realise you're en-route to the land of croissant.
Just left Pret and managed not to purchase anything other than coffee. Go me.
Games. Not really. TV. No. OTTM. Didn't make any sausage rolls.

Drive from Dover via the Channel Tunnel. In a Chieftain tank*. *yes, I know the reliability of the Chieftain was not great. Aim to get a later version, or better yet, borrow a Challenger 2 from the RTR.

Then some Kingdom Hearts, absolute mindless bollocks, ****. I'm hopping to get Sekiro sooner rather than later, but not out til next week.Infact 1 week away.
OTTM - That Brexit is going well.

"Well fired Morton's roll" FTFY.
Only in Scotland could a burnt roll be a feature.

Don't you know there's a player boycott going on?! They've vowed to no longer play the game unless the developers put the patched-out bug back in that let everyone earn more loot and made the game actually fun. However, the game crashed your PS 4, so I suppose it was boycotting itself.

It's wet and windy out, glad I am working from home today.

Games: Last night I started playing the Luigi's Mansion remake, only had time to do the tutorial, but I really enjoyed the opening scenes. I always play with full 3D effect and it looks great that way. OTTM: read John Crace's column last night and appreciated one of the first comments by SpectacledLangour, which sheds light on what happened yesterday, complete with apt Pokémon reference. discussion.theguardian.com/comment-permalink/126850724I also followed their advice on wine.

Good morning.
I spent most of last night trying to sort out a dying boiler - where's those 2 thumbs down emojis when I need them?
I'm ready to have The Division 2 now, hopefully Shopto are good and get it to me today.
(That Diplomacy thing was absolute gibberish)

Last night I played no games, and watched no tv. Instead, I did some tile grouting and picture hanging.
Being a fully functional adult is shit.
