Afternoon.
Games: Fallout 4. I've changed up my weapons swapping a 10mm pistol and a combat shotgun for a Plasma pistol and a Radium rifle. Wasteland baddies beware.
Other: finished off my Christmas gift shopping. It was chaos out there but I'm glad I'll not be doing the last minute rush next week.

Isn't roughly a tenner standard city prices for two drinks? Unless you drink in wetherspoons places. I had a look at a report on the average price of a pint in the second city last September, and it's £3.64, while London (£4.20) and Surrey (£4.40) are the most expensive places. In Brum I would expect to get three pints for a tenner, in some places even three and a half.

It's a fiver for a pint in most of the pubs round my work, which is hundreds of miles from London. It's one of the reasons that I now do the bulk of my drinking in private. Also, I am sorry to see that Heinz Wolff is brown bread. I used to love the Great Egg Race.

Look, somebody is going to have to contact batheinmymilk.com to find out more about it. I’d volunteer myself , but I’m not stupid. Where’s Lonewolf? I reckon we could convince him to do it.

I suspect (pray) it's either viral marketing for a horror movie/game or some kind of bizarre art project. It can't be genuine, surely?

I lived in Brighton for years, then Thailand - I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Ah well, if nothing else we could use it for pretend links, it could be the new meatspin.

I suspect (pray) it's either viral marketing for a horror movie/game or some kind of bizarre art project. It can't be genuine, surely? The "email link" leads to the Facebook page of one Alan Wagner in Los Angeles who's made a number of spoof/prank videos. So your prayers have been answered. And yes, I'm trusting enough to click on the link just to find out what happens. I really miss the meatspin. Edit: Please don't take this as an excuse to post meatspin. We don't want to give Destry more work.

It's got a good story, nice graphics and a cool clockpunk feel to it. Even better, I got it free from GoG. (EDIT: It, and its sequel Syberia II are both only 99c each at the moment...What do you have to lose?*) *$1.98

Games: Tonight I've been running around Hyrule Castle and greatly enjoying myself. My ancient bladesaw sends a message to every Guardian that I mean business. Finally found the last memory and Zelda's study. Poor girl.
Hyrule Castle in BOTW is what I wanted the Snow Mansion in Twilight Princess to be, a place to explore without enemies constantly respawning. I love it.

I'm watching "A Chistmassy Ted". ''Tis truly the season to be jolly. I watch that every year. Partly in rememberance of my Dad and also cos I kove it. My partner was in labour with our first born and as tradition dictates I watched it when it was in TV (I have it on dvd but thats cheating) Ruud Guilett sitting in a shed.

Having finished the US House of Cards yesterday (I'll post my thoughts on this sometime) we started the Netflix series on the capture of the Unabomber.
We chose this because there's a (remote, but still) personal dimension to the story: Mr Enemy's father was on the committee that awarded the man a PhD. He didn't talk about it much, but he said that Kaczynski was a perfectionist; after he discovered that someone else had done work that fractionally overlapped with his own he threw it all away and started from scratch.
