I've been reading 'Industrial Society and its Future'. That's more than I can say. Not really my jam. Yes, well, "it’s more fun to watch the entertainment put out by the media than to read a sober essay", as Teddy K wrote in paragraph 96 of Industrial Society and its Future.

It's still raining in Perth. This is some of the best English cricket so far this series.

Morning.
Game: no further Fallout 4 update.
Other: just a few pints down the pub. It's very busy at this time of year, but I did run into a couple of people who I hadn't seen for a while, which was nice.

Off for brunch shortly with Santa. The fucker better not have ignored my letter.
My daughter has had a reply from him already. I'm expecting some quizzing from her.

Hi
So that Star Wars eh? Who would have thought that Jar Jar Binks was the father of Supreme Leader Snoke and the ghost of Kayser Soze.
It was pretty good, 4-stars.

Off for brunch shortly with Santa. The fucker better not have ignored my letter. Old bearded man who lives in secrecy in an isolated area and arbitrarily punishes those he feels have been 'bad' based on his own moral framework? Is Santa really the Unabomber?

Yeah morning, Last night lost some money playing poker and some brain cells drinking booze.
I've read that sentence back several times and I'm still not sure it looks right. I think I may have finally have broken myself

Hello you lot.
I survived London, and was neither mugged nor under-appreciated. It rained a bit, which really bought out some great Christmas light photos, particularly around Covent Garden.
The ice bar was pretty cool - COOL!! GET IT?!! - you got a free cocktail of your choice served in an ice "glass". After that, they were £7 a pop for a tiny drink.

These weekend Chatterboxes are really pulling in the punters.
It's almost as if you lot have better things to do.

These weekend Chatterboxes are really pulling in the punters. It's almost as if you lot have better things to do. All busy making appointments with the milk bath lady? This morning I established that I need my clone to stand in for me over Christmas as this is the only way I can be in two places at the same time. Nice to be so much in demand, but somehow not practical.

Someone may or may not have opened chocolates bought for Xmas. I couldn't say either way.

Someone may or may not have opened chocolates bought for Xmas. I couldn't say either way. Were they good at covering their tracks by skilfully repackaging the suspiciously lighter box?

If Xmas chocolates had indeed been opened would it not be better to just make the packaging disappear as if it never existed? Almost zen like in its simplicity. Or am I just simple?
Luckily they hadn't been wrapped yet. A job saved some would say.

That's when I opened the Christmas booze. I agree. No-one cares about the "twelve days of Christmas" these days. Boxing Day is taken up by sales, so Christmas chocolates etc. are really only supposed to be enjoyed for one day only? When there's far too much food and drink anyway? It's the run-up to Christmas that counts. I, of course, strictly observe the traditional Christmas period until January 6th, but that's mainly because I can't get my shit together any earlier.

Hello. I also survived London, and I’m fairly sure I avoided having my picture taken by photography enthusiasts. You can't go anywhere in London without it happening, I'm afraid. If it's not some Instagramming smart-phone wielder, then CCTV will getcha.

Hello. I also survived London, and I’m fairly sure I avoided having my picture taken by photography enthusiasts. Did you hear the people sing? I did indeed. It was fantastic, Winter Wonderland was good too, very crowded though. And I finally got to see the big Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square, something I’ve wanted to do for years.
