Thanks Destry! If I weren't so familiar with the song's lyrics, I'd take it as a compliment.
We've probably discussed this before, but I didn't bother reading any of it. What are people's thoughts on PS VR? I briefly used a VR headset recently, and enjoyed it. I was on some sort of roller-coaster through a dinosaur park. It was good. I mean, clearly there's something deeply unsettling about cutting oneself off from external reality so much that a burglar could break in and nick all of ones (non-PS) stuff without one noticing, but then I do that anyway every night when I fall asleep and have those dreams about being naked at work (everyone else is dressed, and not happy with me).
Top seven questions: 1) Who has used it? 2) Is Wipeout 2018 in VR as good as I want it to be? 3) Will it make me forget about Brexit and climate change? 4) Does it include rare earth minerals mined in appalling conditions by people forced into dangerous labour who will eventually die from chronic illnesses as a result of their working conditions, and is it made in factories by people who are treated as slave labour to the extent that it vastly increases the incidence of suicide, early deaths, and child deaths in their families? 5) Will it keep me sober? 6) Would the 11-year old let me use it? 7) Is it just another technological trinket devised in a vain attempt to paper over the barren hollowness of my ridiculous life?
Edit: if the answer to 7 is a yes, that's probably enough to swing it for me, unless the answer to 6 is definitely no.

I've already had to clean up its sick in a pub toilet. I've barfed on myself in the past. I figure I can cope with that.

Trying to make pals with the 11yr old by purchasing him pints won't work.
{Edit}Pro tip. Refer to her children as he/she. 'it' tends to cause offence. But I'm sure you know that.

I watched the new American Gods last night, it was alright but probably not good enough to justify extending my free Prime trial any further.
Lovely day out there today, very Spring like.
I have no experience with VR.

What are peoples thoughts on Google Stevia? Its mildly frightening that one of the few companies able to put data centres all over the world with custom GPUs in them is getting into streaming gaming. Who else has a chance?

VR is grouped with things like "youtube personalities" and "streaming" in the sense that they happened after I stopped accepting that new things could be good.

Who else has a chance? Microsoft also have data centres. They also have games studios already and plenty of.deals in place. The games for Stevia need compiled for it, the MS solution doesn't. I wouldn't rule them out yet. Google does have lots of fuck off huge cables circling the globe though. {Edit}My one experience of proper vr - ie not Google cardboard - was oculus rift. It was incredible. Can't comment on psvr.

Hullo. I had a joyful evening walk in Plymouth last night. I ate at a restaurant, saw that 7m tall copper monstrosity outside the Theatre Royal and went for a further stroll down Union street into the Stonehouse area where many drunks wished me a 'Good Evening'. Delightful. I only wish scubar could have been there.

Morning all.
I'm currently involved in a discussion as to what the past tense of "to wing it" is.
a) I wang it b) I wung it c) I winged it
I've gone for c) as the other two aren't words.
Games: Odyssey continues to take up my time. On Crete again, trying to expose a cult member.
TV: finished the Ken Burns Vietnam War doc. Simply astounding television.
OTTM: painting the ceiling in the study.

I have the PSVR.
I have rarely used it since last april.
11yr old. VR is not recommended for kids under 13 as it will ruin their eyes.
It’s the isolating myself from the outside world that I don’t like. Especially when playing a game the cat comes along and jumps on you.
I’d never get rid of it though.

Morning all!
I've been dividing my time in The Division 2 with small bits of Devil May Cry 5 on the side. Unfortunately, this is all going to change on Friday when Sekiro drops.
Google 'Stevia' is an absolutely mad concept that I do not understand. Jade Raymond is a angel though.

"Toadying up to someone has its origins in 17th century markets, where quacks would sell their ‘magic’ medicines by having their assistants swallow a ‘poisonous’ live toad and then be miraculously cured. The ‘toad-eater’ became seen as a fawning flatterer."
