I went to a pub last night and discovered that my companion had voted for Brexit. On further investigation it turned out that he didn't know much about the issues and didn't really care. People like that shouldn't be allowed to vote. Or draw breath.

Games: Sekiro. I am a goddamn Shinobi. Who dies. A lot. I love this game. OTTM: I have Endgame tickets for first showing on release day. This will be my first trip to the cinema sans cinema-going buddy. Should I leave my big knife at home or take it with me in case some fools are eating popcorn / playing on their phones?

That is 3 people I know who voted leave and told me why. Their reasons: straight bananas; Lexit; didn't really care one way or the other. The sample doesn't really back up the claim that people wanted out because of immigration/sovereignty/burning desire to trade with Papua New guinea etc etc..

I had it all explained to me by a work colleague last week. The EU was set up to put a cap on how economically successfull the UK could be allowed to be, to give other countries a chance. Ergo, leave the EU, and the UK can reclaim its rightful place as something or other.
She backed up this statement by saying she'd been told this by someone she knew who was "one of the top like.. finance people in... somewhere. A company or something.

Sounds reasonable, I'm changing my vote if we get another chance

The results would be meaningless due to the small sample size.

Agriculture, that's why I voted leave - that and disappearing farms. Also migration, we need a new barn door as the horse was sold for horse meat and the barn door was burned. (them borders though). fun and games at casa de Kane, noise, more noise and even more noise. yesterday two numpties decided to crash a stolen motor and subsequent pollies storm trooped them just outside, then this morning I was woken up to the dulcet tones of construction followed by copious amounts of drilling as they were fitting the mandatory sprinkler system, which will end with the almighty stench of sealant. (oh joy) I don't think I've had a day other than weekends where it's been silent for at least six months, I live in a construction zone. music: I re-listened to all of 'the voice US' games: none yet, maybe next year. Politics: blah blah, ooh squirrel. headphones on music up coffee coffee coffee and YouTube/blogging. switch off world.

Good Intel thanks, adds to my belief that we're financially keeping the EU afloat. (speculative)

Agriculture? I met a couple of farmers at the weekend (don't judge me) and they said they are worried that Brexit will finish them.

Farmers basically live off of EU subsidies to keep their fields full of barren soil and infected beef. Its a racket. They'll be finished.

A pub at the top of the hill is in an ideal position. You attain a deep thirst on the way up, and then attack that thirst with incredible tenacity. Then one simply rolls down the hill and back home. Surely one just leaves a shopping trolley outside the pub, for the downhill run.
