I've been to the local rug merchant and I'm pleased with the results.

Question for amipal or other AC afficionados. For the Nu-AC curious, I see Origins is cheapish in the sale. Is Odyssey significantly better? Or is it just different settings for roughly the same game?

Saw avenue Q at the matinée, glad it wasn't made pre watershed friendly. The best applause was for puppets telling us Theresa May is only temporary. Now if we could sort out Brexit using Orville and sooty do you think they would take us more seriously?

Swap Orville for Dylan from the magic roundabout and you could be onto something there.

I have been told, however, that it doesn't matter if you haven't played Origins when you start Odyssey.

How many times does the word lord appear in the KJB?
I'd guess once or twice a page. Say 1,850 times in total. But that might be way out.

7,365 I was quite a bit off then. 4 times as common as I thought. I was in the right order of magnitude which is something I suppose.

We guessed 3900. The other team went 8000. Suspiciously accurate, but as I said they were suspiciously sober.

Morning Everyone! How are you all? I think someone hacked my account last night. A bad business.
I once won a pub quiz bonus round by being the person in the pub who estimated most accurately the number of times the word "the" appears in the King James Bible. It's just a case of estimating the number of pages, words per page, and frequency of occurrence per word. And doing that better than anyone else can, despite being pissed. What I'm saying is, I imagine I'd have been better than you at estimating the occurrence of the word "Lord".

I reckon 'the' appears about 28269 times in the KJB. Pure guess, I have definitely not been up all night counting.

Avengers:Endgame was bloody superb also the cinema sells bottles of wine served in a plastic decanter, we may have got through 2, it was a long movie, overall experience 4*
Also why do the fat baps eat their loud food during the quiet moments?
<edit> also the film was full of WOW/Whoo moments, funny moments and quite a few tears were shed

I don't like rubbish films though, so that's probably why I think that. The only people worse than people who make noise in the cinema, are people who didn't stop going to the cinema and start watching films in the comfort of their own home about 10 years ago, and now insist on moaning about the sort of terrible people who go to the cinema. Also the sort of people who use a plastic decanter for wine, and then aren't totally embarrassed to admit it. Ignore me. I'm just lashing out.

going to the cinema is about the shared experience of being annoyed by the fat bap rustling around in a pack of peanut M&Ms, or in my case, annoying a lot of people by rustling around in a pack of peanut M&Ms. doing that at home just isn't the same.

I only own one decanter; it's a glass and silver port decanter. I don't tend to decant wine because drinking it is about getting drunk, not enjoying the taste.
