To be fair, if I had dragons I'd be burning folk left right and centre. Rude not to. I think Babyf's theory is the most plausible. Daenerys has been firmly established as the Big Bad, meaning she'll need to get murderized. John Snoo isn't destined for a happy ending (and is also a targaryn). Plus they laboured the point of Arya being pissed off at the end.

Nothing has been built up? It’s had 8 years of build up. A lot of which has led to not a lot. So much time spent boring us to death with Bran for him to be bait and warg into a bird to get a good view of the battle. To be fair, I think picking up all the loose threads is what's making it difficult for GRRM to write the last books so I can't blame the writers too much.

I think they have pushed too much into this last season.
The war v the Night King led too quickly to the march on Kings Landing. Could have done with taking a bit more time.
Did winter end immediately when the Night King died?

Poor Tyrion. Looks like he is toast. You'd want to know whatever side he is supporting so you can make other plans. I hope Bronn gets his claim to Highgarden in quickly.

Dany kills Jon and Tyrion, Arya kills Dany, Sansa on the Throne.
Epilogue, Cersei emerging from the ruins.
Sorted

I think Jon will survive but end up going North to live with the Wildings (and Ghost, not that he seems to care much about it) and leave the rest of them to sort it out themselves. Poor bloke can't do right for doing wrong.

I do think Jon's character arc has been fully busted this season. They've gone too far to avoid making him the hero, by making him a complete idiot.
I could vaguely get on board with him being so useless in the battle of winterfell, but this episode was too much- one of the biggest parts of Dany's descent into madness is the North adoring Jon and her having no forces left.
This episode? Jon twirling around looking gormless, surrounded by dothraki and unsullied being completely ignored by his adoring armies.

Dany being crowned, Arya mid-leap with knife in hand.
Cut to black, credits.
That’s how it should end. Really swing for the fences and piss everyone off.

I'd go for Dany reconciling with Jon and being crowned and married. At the height of the wedding feast she takes her face off to reveal Arya
Fade to black with Sigur Ros playing the Rains of Castermere

Why can't they all just go and live in a nice bungalow in Dorset. Maybe pick some strawberries together.

That went better than I expected. Especially comsidering I thought they might take up Samwell on his democracy pitch.
Jon getting sent to the wall gave me a good chuckle, even if he did get to fuck off with the free folk later on.
Can someone explain what the point of Gilly was? Can't remember her affecting the plot in any way.

TCan someone explain what the point of Gilly was? Can't remember her affecting the plot in any way. She was just there to facilitate Samwell's journey from fat sack of crap to a man. Giving him something to fight for, and think out loud to.

Well it all ended with a whimper. It makes no sense for Bran to be king either.

It went alll LOTR at the end. It's over. Just stop it now.
I thought Tyrion's big speech was bollocks. You've won. No need to get sentimental about it.
The book at the end was particularly stolen from uncle Tolks. Unnecessary.

Also I thought more of the Starks should have died. And i'd like to have seen a white walker kid at the end, chatting to Tom Bombadil.

I did like Drogon giving Jon the nod to do in Dany. It was only at that point the daft twat finally made up his mind. Turns out the dragon wasn't such a bad sort and the genocidal city burning was only obeying orders.

I reckon Bran planned this all along, let's conduct an in-depth character assessment here:
1) On benefits due to "disability" 2) Pretends to be a bird 3) Likes to spy on people when they are at it 4) Had Hodor killed for his own selfish end 5) Looks like a bass player from a shit northern indie band

A male or a female three eyed raven?
I'm not sure if Baby's transphobia or ornithophobia is worse.
