Morning all,
Scam's Civ V Domination fail trail:
1. Choose Arabia and settle in nice sandy place with resources
2. Looks good - build up finances
3. Oh - first scrap but came out ok, finances and happiness good
4. Big scrap - yeeeah, got your capital. Might settle a couple of cities to increase caravan range and other resources
5. oh
6. Well i have savings and can building a couple more circuses and colosseums
7. (red angry faces)
8. What? How am I losing money?
9. Rebels - wtf
10. rage quit
In other news I've been working on an article all about the Saturnalia and the Haloa, nice midwinter festivals.

It's fair to say it was not our finest hour. Although it was mainly more a result of misunderstanding than malice, albeit with disagreements over what is acceptable and what isn't. |

I can tell you that if I called literally any woman I know "wench" they'd string me up. Because while for one region it might be relatively innocuous for the rest of the country it is at best condescending and at worst insulting.

I played Division Survival, again. I did terribly but still made it to the end. A bunch of people tried extracting from the same point so there were hunters all over. Somehow a named enemy also ended up hanging around and proceeded to actually take out most of the hunters. There were maybe 5 or 6 dead agents around the extraction, just me and another guy extracted who basically sat the whole thing out.

As ever your grasp of comment board functionality is truly humbling. I really, really love Survival. I play solo in PVE mode, but I have played with people. There are some frustrations, but as much as I get dicked over I dick over other people, so generally it balances out. |

I see we're now somehow less diverse than before. Seren was nice.
Nae games last night, just fives. Boxing training has started to improve my fitness noticeably, which is nice.
Last shift of the year and then work night out tonight. Meal and then off to the bright lights of Dunfermline, for which I can barely contain my lack of enthusiasm.

I've had it for ages, yet to get into it Not got it - it has received mixed reviews. I'll be happy to beat the game at the easiest setting in Domination first. Very low achievements are the bestest. |

I used to do battle reenactments of the English Civil War and one evening in the beer tent a mate referred to his wife as a W**Ch whilst she was standing next to him. She picked up his pint and looking him in the eye slowly poured it over his head. She then glanced around as if to say any one else got any thing to say. We all shuffled our feet and kept quiet. She was our Seargent-at-arms and ferocious in battle. |
