Well I enjoyed American History X.
I'm not sure enjoyed is precisely the right word. It makes it sound like I am a big fan of racist violence as entertainment.

The violence doesn't have to be racist.

American History X was OK, but Norton was still awful in it. He is not a convincing tough guy.

News just in from Japan, Pikachu is dead, thank fuck. That is all. [OTTM] I think I may have caught a lurgy from the hospital. I will fuck them up. Don't do it; they have many more ways to end you than you do them. Yes, even you, MrTiddles. MRSA etc, for a start. "Health care staff can spread infection, in addition to contaminated equipment, bed linens, or air droplets. The infection can originate from the outside environment, another infected patient, staff that may be infected" There are currently over a dozen specifically associated with hospitals: Clostridium difficile for example. They never identified what was giving me repeated bouts of septic shock. Misdiagnosis, inadequate treatment, food... (often the food was for me inedible so my diet was yoghurt, ice cream and food supplements - I dropped so much weight (6 stone in 3 months)I was as light as I was when I was 10 years old - the dietician thought that death through inanition was a strong possibility), lack of sleep... For 9 months I might get to sleep about 1 a.m. when all the medication had finally been administered and woken at between 4.30-5.30 am when they would give me some ineffectual medicine... When the Filipino ladies were on at night then they would be in the corridor shouting into their mobiles to check that their kids were doing OK and hubby was behaving himself. And misapplication or misuse of equipment, medicine by careless nurses or doctors... this latter category has resulted in 80% of my disability. There are over a dozen such. The moral of this is don't go to hospital unless it's vital.

Well I enjoyed American History X. I'm not sure enjoyed is precisely the right word. It makes it sound like I am a big fan of racist violence as entertainment. If I remember correctly, the central message of the film appeared to be that being the victim of sexual violence in prisons is a good first step on the road to rehabilitation and self-improvement. I didn't not enjoy it, but it's not an unproblematic film.

Morning! Games: Just a bit of Dromedary Quarantine VII. I do not like the fact that it's very difficult to recover MP and that my expensive prayer ring breaks after two uses. And why isn't HP and MP restored when one levels up once in a blue moon, eh? Tossers. Zelda help column: what Bloggie said plus the one on Death Mountain. Bloggie said some time ago that he hadn't used the map and consequently had walked around in circles (one will do that if one is only aware of four fixed points on the map). Because the map is so large, exploration is key. The way I played it was to give equal weight to the divine beasts as finding all the towers, uncover the associated map and then move through it guided by interesting features on the map as well as visible landmarks. Landmarks will only be named on your map once you've visited them. I used very little fast travel and instead moved like an explorer or a tourist on foot. Make sure you talk to all NPCs. Most of them have something useful to say, many will give you a side quest or even a shrine quest. Whenever you see a shrine, do not give up until you've conquered it, no matter how difficult it is to get to. The shrines are peppered over the map, so if you've got an area that's suspiciously devoid of shrines get searching. Find out when you are ready to kill Guardians and how. One of the most interesting areas (to me) was the area around Castle Town and the castle itself where important story elements are hidden, but it's positively infested with the chaps. Ah I've tried going to death mountain but I kept catching on fire when I got close. I've mostly been playing by trying to find all the map towers, and doing some shrines. You could leave out the divine beasts completely and I think it'd be better for it really. Or replace them with proper classic Zelda dungeons. Not sure if I've been to Castle Town, I remember approaching a castle (not the Gannon one) and the enemies were crazy hard so I decided not to go there.

Afternoon 'box Just about recovered from a bout of nasty virus I got early last week which resulted in three days off sick. Wednesday was spent in bed, Thursday pretty much the same. Friday I made it to the Chinese at 9pm. Weekend not much different. I did manage to play a bit of God of War (platinum run still in effect) and got a couple of trophies. Realised that the one thing that would improve the game is a couple more proper boss-fights. Probably going to have to break out a trophy guide for the last few I need, although one of them is killing Odin's ravens which I only royally screwed the first playthrough by missing a couple in an area you can't go back to after a certain point.
Games: God of War. Finding NG+ a tad too easy on the difficulty level I completed NG on. Crank it up you say? Nah, because that'd just slow me down and this is a plat run. I am speed. TV: Lots of golf on Sky Sports Movies: Upgrade; I, Tonya. OTTM: I have three job telephone interviews this week. I hate telephone interviews.

It was even worse than a circle, it was essentially a line going across the map about 4/5x with a few deviations for the guardians. I left the map as apparently it was the "purest" way to play. I must have just been following the same landmarks backwards and forwards for 40 hours. Classic.

Also, in Red Dragon a tiger is sexually molested whilst drugged. Sickening.

Nissin Peking Duck noodles. Not as good as the other flavours.
Watching Gomorrah on the commute. Wondering if Gennaro is going to be the decent guy in his "new" life or whether the airport will take precedence. Hmmm. Whadda ya think?

We must be dangerously close here.
This is why no-one is posting isn't it? It's a lot of responsibility to say something worthwhile.
