Books
The Drowned World JG Ballard
I liked it less than I wanted to. It has dated very badly in some aspects.
It's got a load of psychobabble in it and somewhat old fashioned attitudes to gender and racial identities. I'm fairly sure Jimbo wasn't being deliberately racist, but the late 50's/ early 60's mindset isn't very woke.
it was ok and fairly short.
Perihlelion Summer Greg Egan
Short, but I enjoyed it. As ecologically devastated worlds go it was better than The Drowned World.
