Good afternoon. Cheese sandwich (Emmental) and some M&S "dinky mustard and honey sausages" for lunch. They are only so small.
Mr Tent Rooster still talks about how I scandalised his parents with my foul language when I first met them. I think I might have said "oh sh*t" at one point. He claims that this is because I thought that that kind of language was acceptable in German, but the truth is that I never say "Scheisse" in German because it's very rude. However, in my local Low German dialect "Schiet" is just the regular word for dung/dirt and not a swear word at all, so I might have been influenced by that. ("Schieter in de Büx" (literally "one who shits in the pants") or just "Schieter" is a term of endearment for a small child and what my grandparents used to call me when I was small. It's a very, errm, earthy kind of language.)
Nowadays it's Mr Tent Rooster himself who needs a reminder to watch his language as long as he's within earshot of the grandchildren.

You can judge me as much as you want. I still did, I still enjoyed it, and I don't care, you bunch of Schieters in de Büx.

Hi!
Games: I have slight pump rumblings for Crash Team Racing (out tomorrow). Loved the original (on ps1 I think). Anyone else?
OTTM: I had a Morrisons chicken Phaal last night. Maybe this has caused the pump rumblings. Badum.

I liked the Komodo Dragon Chillies Tesco did. Up to 2,000,000 scoville units. They are more a chemical weapon than a foodstuff. Sadly Tesco don't seem to sell them any more.

A friend kindly invited me to dinner and cooked up some sort of exotic beef stew. While he was preparing the meal he put a plate of these in front of us to munch with our beer: I wasn't gullible enough to eat one off the bat... so he picks one up and eats it whole and said it wasn't that hot. So I picked one up and put it whole into my mouth. It was like an incendiary grenade had gone off: they were Pimientos de Padron and one in ten is lethal; the other nine are mild.

I have been commissioned to make some lethally hot sausage rolls, for an upcoming charity fundraiser. I'm planning to use up some of my vast store of homegrown naga powder for this. The plan is, free sausage roll for anyone who wants one, and a huge ice-bucket of those tiny bio-active yogurt drinks beside them, for a fiver a go.......

The morrisons phaal had scorpion chillies in it.
I like Naga chillies, they add a fruitiness I enjoy.
Chilli chat is the best chat.

I've got some carolina reaper chocolate limes. I've just tried one. The lime bit is not hot. It's safe to say I won't be scoffing the lot before dinner.
I might save some to reward trick or treaters or any visitors really.

Chilli pepper wankers. Err, ok. Perhaps not.
Hello. Heading home. Hopefully some Divisioning tonight and Mrs C possibly wants to watch Big Little Lies S2.
Oh. And we need to arrange some more MK over the weekend.

Checking tenthenemy 's theory about the other place "picks" and it certainly seems that the vast majority are in the first 10 comments.

Also some articles get four or five, and some articles none. It looks like a rushed person doing a job as quickly as they can. To be fair, the G are under financial pressure, and people are expensive.

Of course none of this diminishes the value of any picks obtained by the 'boxers here.

Get in early and write 'Comments on this article will be pre-moderated to ensure discussion remains on topic.'
That pretty much guarantees a pick.
