I’d hate to have to be looking for a job. Heard that my old post I left nine months ago, is being readvertised. I’d left because the job was paid so poorly paid compared to the level of responsibility. I’d kinda hoped that they’d regrade the post, but apparently not.
I’m convinced that they won’t get any decent applicants and will be forced to regrade the job.
Think I might just reapply for the fun of it.

TVblog - no What We Do in the Shadows, so carried on with Chef and My Fridge. And then the penultimate Designated Survivor.
Amigablog - more BlitzBasic. Still trying to figure out why parts of my player sprite are turning transparent - double-buffering has been suggested, so will give that a go later.

Now then, I don't usually eat red meat, but I ate a lot last night. I feel iffy this morning. Unsound.
OTTM: I have to stay in all day for the gas-safety-check person. Exciting times.
As a footnote to this, I will say that the electrical-safety-check-persons found nothing wrong. I did after they left, the electric shower wouldn't work. Berks.

For the last 30 years of my drinking career (a couple of pints before stumbling 3 doors down the road to our house) we got in around 6pm when it opened and left 2 hours later. Because there were a dozen of us from varied backgrounds it was a haven of good chat, no fucking music, and games with a decent pint of well-kept Wethered's then Morland...  And yes, it was a genuine 16th century coaching inn; a bit twee, but early doors poseurs were generally unwelcome |
