Unplug it for 3 - 4 months. Make sure you delete ALL browsing history and bookmarks from all your connected devices. Then try again

Hello. It's raining here and now I know that this is Baby's fault.
Last night I obtained the Flying Carpet in Dragoman Qwerty VII.
That is all.

A Reddit post on Animal Crossing that may well interest some folk here. redd.it/c4twqbI read that, and some of the discussion. Yes, the scope of the dialogue is incredible. I should also say that the game lets the player add to said dialogue: you can write letters to your animal neighbours, which they will show to visiting players. But the attraction of Animal Crossing is that the same overwhelming amount of work goes into every aspect of the game. All the objects, the wildlife, the clothing and sounds - everything is there and highly realistic. Large part of the gameplay is about acquiring all this stuff, a nearly impossible task. One can play for years and never see everything the game has to offer. After all, it's a second life for the player, and, as someone in the Reddit thread points out, if you die in the game you die in real life. I'm surprised to find that I'm the only Animal Crossing player here. Maybe this will change when the new one comes out, but don't say I didn't warn you.

One can play for years and never see everything the game has to offer. I downloaded it onto the 2ds I have with a view to letting the child play it. She had loved the Worst Witch RPG on the CBBC website and thought this might tickle her. Perhaps not if there's that much involved. Nintendo Game and Watch it is then.

Oh, it's the perfect game if you want to keep her occupied. Like, for a very long time. Tell her my town is Shmushup.

This is startlingly good:
<edit>a bit more info:
An Elise Trouw cover mashup of Radiohead's "Weird Fishes/ Arpeggi" and The Police's "The Bed's Too Big Without You." Two of my favorite songs, from two of my favorite albums, by two of my favorite artists.
Recorded and Filmed in one take by Blowhole Sound (Scott Lehman)
Live looping triggered through Ableton Live using the internal IAC MIDI driver.
Instruments: Pearl drum kit (vintage kick+Pearl Jupiter snare), Paiste 14" Dark Energy Hi-Hat , Regal Tip Jazz Series Sticks, Taylor T5, Fender Mustang Bass, Korg SV-1
She was 18 when she recorded this, 20 now, shame she can't spell "favourite".

I played a lot of Animal crossing new leaf, a few hundred hours I think. The great thing is that it has an amazing amount of attention to detail and content, and yet is very simple to play. The music is also first class.

Morning everyone. Been busy. What's going on? Against my better judgement I responded to a YouTube comment, about Torchwood. "That's the problem with the pcism of bcc/dotor who/ tourchwood, you get these clumsey isms crowbard in to the story line. So a cockabout bloke doesn't like you and suddenly your gay, that's nearly as bad as how willow became gay in Buffy. Wasn't like that with my sister, she wasn't having any man near her right from her teens; this was the early 80's though, before it was de rigueur experiment with being gay coz it's all trendy now." My reply "You are quite a sad person, though thank you for 'crowbard'" their reply "You're welcome, but what makes you think I am sad?" and later "Most men would like to read womens minds to find out what the eck is going on in there to make them make such wacky decisions." My reply "You're not even trying now. Still sad and heading towards needy." their reply to my reply "Okay, guessing you can't justify what you write. What makes you think I'm needy?" I feel dirty and ashamed.

Crowbard? And you've got to admit that being gay is all the rage these days. Hipsters. You shouldn't feel like that just because you responded to a YouTube comment, although this exchange demonstrates why they are best left alone.* Edit: *Although, if you hadn't responded, the extent of the sad situation would not have become so obvious for all to see.

To be honest I wouldn't have replied but "crowbard" was so delicious I couldn't help it. <edit>I was quite pleased I didn't go off on one about their take on Willow.
