Shared bogs in hotels is a thing now? This feels me with absolute horror. I, too, am feeling the horror.

Morning
Wife and daughters still away.
Cats still alive. In fact they left me a present of half a mouse at the bottom of the stairs this morning.
Note to self: Remember to feed the cats.

Hello all.
I've been bitten. Where, you ask? All over my arms, legs and hands.
Is this generally what happens when one visits an open-air pool?
I've been to the pharmacy this morning, and as a consequence have liberally applied antihistamine cream all over. I don't believe it is having any effect on the itchiness. At all. Not one jot. Not one iota.
And so I am gradually going crazy. It is taking every inch of my being not to scratch. The ultimate test.

Thank god I'm too busy at work to read the G. It means I haven't seen the article and video about the hailstorm in Mexico in the summer, and I'm not shitting myself about climate change.
If anyone wants my space in the worry tent, please feel free. I'll be in the worry bunker.

The Preferred Mammal claims that eating a lot of eggs makes one less attractive to mosquitoes. I have yet to see evidence to support this theory and am beginning to think that he just likes eggs.
Having attempted to ask the all-seeing, all-knowing internet for advice via the Google Oracle I have learnt that catnip is an insect repellant. So if you want to swap that cloud of mosquitoes for a swarm of kitty cats you know what to do.

Wait, what? Rolling is sharing a bathroom with Danky's in-laws, Amipal is boasting about getting his sweet content nibbled when he took an evening swim outdoors, and Destry is being looked after by cats?
This is all too much. Are you people real in real life, or just here as part of some sort of psychological experiment on me?

@lunchblog Ham and mayo sandwiches. What? Oh.. My mask of Insanity begins to slip. ftfy morning all and sundries* lunchblog too full from yesterday Had my life companion over yesterday for a home cooked Chinese meal, she bought it I cooked it, Chicken Satay in a peanut butter sauce with Cajon flavoured undertones, stir fry vegetables in Hoisin and soy sauce, rice noodles and egg fried rice. I did it all in separate bowls and used a chop sticks/spoon and fork combo, pudding was strawberries, mango, and papaya with single cream. she arrived at around 7 and didn't leave till 11 (cabbed back for safety reasons) so I guess it worked well** OTTM saw the David Attenborough thing at Glastonbury and as usual he nailed it. Bites and stings try Calamine lotion. that's all, still binge watching Trek TNG *not you! **she didn't die!

I think at this point Amipal would like to know how effective Calamine lotion is for headshot wounds. 'tis but a scratch! mix the Calamine lotion with mud and stuff it in the hole with a little gunpowder, light it, scream in pain and wash thoroughly after with clean water! don't forget to have a stiff drink after!
