I had all the carbs at lunch: potato salad, cous cous, pasta, bread... I'm more carb than man.
I will be spending the rest of the afternoon going in and out of a carb-coma.

I had Sunday lunch in a pub. Haven’t done that for years. Then we went to the Lambeth Country Show. You know, give the bumpkins a chance to see what the big city is all about. You bring your odd shaped vegetables, we’ll put Megadeath on a stage for you.

I've had a smashing day on the M6 and finally arrived at Cairn Lodge services, which has been taken over by the Tebay lads so it's no longer a shithole. Inevitably, on the down side, it's pissing it down. On the upside, rain not blood.

You can breath a sigh of relief or disappointment according to your disposition ... I was 'treated' this lunch time and because the after effects require me to distract myself I have been doing chores whilst chock full of morphine. One of these was removing accumulated sticky gunge from scissors and the rail on the end of the bed. I'm careful about this as White Spirit can make flammable spill spots. I do the scissors (3 pair) and start on the rail. I bend over it to squint at it to make sure the gunk is off, get a whiff and stop breathing* and nearly pass out. I was using Spirits of Salt... someone, MrTiddles , had switched the position of the two bottles. Locks have been changed, security cameras installed and the bell replaced by a a video entry phone. I am prepared (I really am, I've also done my will and LPAs). *Just as well, as I don't rate my chances of a double lung transplant. |

Kept suggesting to one very bored looking other half to come back for free ice cream, I mean being dragged to watch the new spider man was painful enough.
Now it's retraining to be more tolerant for the carers charges and I've got a brick in a pillowcase behind the concession counter. Some advantages to a dark cinema I guess.

Installed new router, effect on internet stability remains to be seen.
Watched the latest sweet, sweet Amipal content on Saturday morning. He's expecting too much of me when he asks the audience for advice on keyboard input problems. There's a reason why I'm a humble console peasant.
Then played Dragon Quest Builders 2. A lot. No time for chat! Achievements? My villagers now all form an orderly queue for a chance to deposit some "night soil" in the potty of their newly built restroom facility. (They all operate on a schedule.)

Going to sleep now - Spirits of Salt is an immensely powerful cleaner but a mask is recommended. 32% hydrochloric acid, so what I nearly breathed in was chlorine gas a la WW1 trench warfare ...
