Space Balls Salvador Dali meet Hello Games meet Tuffers meet Zardoz *. *Poor, poor Sean Connery - out-acted by a floating headSpeaking of Space Balls, I still remember yet another reason I hate Xmas; my insomniac listening has included the repeat of a World Service programme on Beagle 2. 25 December 2003 - preparing and cooking Xmas dinner whilst following the progress and the feeling of desperate disappointment for that wonderful, typically British man Professor Colin Pillinger when Beagle 2 had been lost. Even more upsetting was the unwarranted trashing of the project by the ESA and UKSA establishments of this ground breaking (oof!) endeavour and that his vindication by the discovery of the intact craft occurred 8 months after his passing...

Films. Some Seth Rogan thing.
Games. Div2. Ran around with three German randoms. Me and two lads were getting our arse handed to us from some Hyenas. A ggggirl from their clan joined and she did the arse kicking. She had a level 500 gearscore and was very good. Saved me a good couple of times. Levelled up a couple of times and got a pile of shit. Four stars.
Wet today.

Hello, Impromptu night out with some former work colleagues last night. It took all of about 2 minutes to realise why I hadn't stayed in touch with many of them. Fortunately I was already pretty drunk by that point. I feel most unwell today. And to make things worse, I've just watched the Witcher trailer.

Samuel Pepys
"The Duke of York did bid Sir W. Pen to stay to discourse with him and the King about business of the fleet, which troubled me a little, but it was only out of envy, for which I blame myself, having no reason to expect to be called to advise in a matter I understand not."
Maybe we should follow Mr Pepys advice, though it would probably lower the post count, a bit.

No answer? Right, you've asked for it. Don't say you weren't warned.

You're lucky it wasn't the theme to Mike Reid's Runaround. 'Runaround NOW, or I'll break every fucking bone in your bodies'. etc..

14 minute drum solo? You couldn't handle that shit on strong acid, man Youngsters of today, no staying power. The third album I bought was Brian Bennett's Change of Direction - a lot of whose tracks appear on The Illustrated London Noise, on the basis of the track Tricycle... but the whole album, given what the rest were putting out in 1967 blew my mind... The Shadows musicianship has always been grossly under valued - the 2006 'Move It' 'supergroup' was the only good thing to happen in that year. MrTiddles , Mr Blobby will pay you a visit if you don't restrain your less savoury utterances.Got to go... too much to do

Afternoon all.
Just back from Sheffield Park. It went from "quite damp" to "incredibly sunny and humid" about half an hour after we arrived. My waterproof jacket was very good and sealing that humidity right against my body.
Had a desk delivered - one I ordered from a local carpenter. A solid wood unit; incredible gravitas from the thing.

Hell of a day on the highways today. Earlier, on a dual carriageway section of the A30, I had to overtake a guy in full racing lycra riding a penny farthing. Cobblers or Shenguin, I assume.
