Morning All.
Back after 4 off, not reading all that. At a guess, there'll be puns, cheese sandwiches, faux outrage, Baby banging on about battle royales and Danky buying at least three new games. Am I right?
Anyway, hammered* DQB2 whilst off. Finished the second story island, went around and collected all collectibles and started work on the second patch of my island (after going back and flattening the first area). Also played more Nier Automata. Much more pleasant with the mod installed.
*No pun intended.

Gaming night started well when I singlehandedly wiped out a duo, but struggled thereafter with my brother picking up a kill at the end of the night. It was brutal out there, everyone was a Commando.
We have another skip now for a weekend of digging.

Edwin Walker in 1922 apparently. I was sure it was going to be Leonardo da Vinci.

Obviously a dam bursting catastrophically and destroying Whaley Bridge would be a bad thing. All those engineers and the police and fire service, and the RAF are all working hard to keep everything safe and to save the dam; they're real heroes.
The dam bursting would be very bad, and I hope it doesn't happen. I hope I don't get to watch videos from loads of different perspectives of the deluge, endlessly repeating the dam collapsing, torrents of water surging into a town collecting cars and trees, I hope I don't get to see houses literally collapse or pre-fabs float off bobbing like toys in a torrent. No, that would be very bad, even though the videos would be quite exciting.
Fingers crossed then.

I know someone who had half their house washed away in floods a few years ago. I like him and it was a difficult situation, but the BBC turned up to film it and it has to be said the videos were fucking magic.

My Dad lives on a flood plain, idiot. The last time he had the Army sandbagging his estate and various industrial water pumps, pumping, I suppose. As he said, 'It looks like a war zone around here'.
Well, fucking move then and save the taxpayer some money. Berk.

Morning Games - no Finishing Stranger Things 3 - yes Scubar! Are you going to the Mount Edgcumbe Classic & American Car Show and Summer Fair, this Sunday. They have Dog and Duck racing, sounds good. I'm asking for a contractor associate friend.

Finished the second story island, went around and collected all collectibles and started work on the second patch of my island (after going back and flattening the first area). Also played more Nier Automata. Much more pleasant with the mod installed. *No pun intended. I knew you'd overtake me. I'm supposed to go off to the second story island but I couldn't stand the residents moaning about the lack of facilities. So I built them a nice little house above the river and a small toilet with grates as floorboards so that they can listen to the rushing river while they are doing their business or, alternatively, so that one can look up from the river to find out who's sitting on the potty.* I made them a wheat field and a bridge to get to said field. They ignore it and wade through the river. Now I've built them an enormous, expensive hardwood floor, red brick riverside restaurant with ambient lighting and wall hangings that they love, with six brick cooking fireplaces in the kitchen. Still busy putting a roof on it before Jay Rayner pays a visit. I have no idea where my chicken is, but they are still serving fried egg in the restaurant. This is Animal Crossing all over again. All I want is tinkering around and unlocking everything. Send halp. *All NPCs are closing the door. It is good to know that neither Shenguin nor Danky's outlaws are having any influence here.

I once went to a fayre whilst on holiday in Dorset, and they had ferret racing.
Basically six drainpipes of equal length, with transparent windows every quarter-length.
The ferret owners would release the creatures on Go! And half the time, said ferret would turn around mid-way down the pipe.

Building your house in the middle of a river is a schoolboy error.
