Since we've taken to counties; now I have to determine if I truly am a moron... House has just been made available on Prime and to eke out Elementary I watched the first episode... it's utterly brilliant. Why am I a moron? Because I am hooked again - I own all 8 boxsets and as I am the sort of sad git that watches the entire series each new season that's the 9th time I have seen it.

Morning!
Back in work. Back in a bad mood. Coincidence? Nope.
Ganes! More DQB2. Finished island 3, which was quite a bit different to the other islands. Now back on IoA but had a couple of days break due to the game making me want to play Dragon Quest Monsters again. This was Dragon Quests attempt at a Pokemon type game, which they completely nailed imo. Best monster collecting game available, if that's your jam. Anyway, this led me on a journey through the bowels of the internet to find an emulator*, during which I found that it had been remade (it was originally on the Gameboy Colour**) for the 3DS. Joy! I then found it was never released outside of Japan. Dismay! But further reading led me to a fan- patched translated version and a 3DS emulator. Joy, again! It's good. Not quite as good as the original but the graphics update and better music mean I'm playing that one instead.
Tl;dr, dropped a game close to the end to start another one. Again.
The biggest news I found during that whole debacle, though, is that, due to the renewed success of Dragon Quest 'out West', they are making a new Dragon Quest Monsters game for the Switch! The hype is real already.
Oh, also bought Division 2 on the PS4 in the sale, two hours before Sony emailed me an extra 25% off sale price code. Cunts.
TV! Finished Iron Fist s2. Whilst it was largely forgettable, given the finale, I think a third series could've been bat shit crazy. Which could only have been an improvement. Now on to Daredevil s3.
*Ok, it was maybe the second result on Google and I already have the rom from when I built the arcade.

I have been awake since 6.30 am. I am not happy about this.
Local News Update
1) 'The Lad'. Was playing loudish music until 4.30am Saturday morning, last seen yesterday evening wandering around in the street talking to himself, 'I've got no crack, I've got no crack..'.
Croydon News Update
2) 'Sven'. His neighbour upstairs called the Police claiming someone had broken into her flat and poisoned her. She was most upset that the Police didn't take the can and glass away for DNA testing. Still, she survived because a few days later she was shouting in the hallway that 'You've all raped my mother and murdered my family!'. She also made a number of racist comments which I will not state here.
On balance, 'The Lad' seems a reasonable chap.

Division 2 Pro tip. Ignore the ping. It's crap compared to the one in Div1 and teh cool down is shocking.

Probably due to the fact that I haven't booted my PS4 in ~6 months. The kicker was, they sent an email before and after my purchase. The first one didn't have a code (said 'None available') so I assumed it was time gated, but this led me to check out the offers. Sneaky Sony bastards. Got me good with this one. Also, I appreciate the tips for Div2 but I'm not likely to play it ever any time soon because Dragon Quest (both Builders and Monsters). Actually, I still have the unused code if you want it? Not sure if it'll work, as it says it's 'personal', but might be worth a try. |
