Priti Patel wants Freedom of Movement to end on 31 October. I can understand that she's desperate to keep me out of the country but maybe that's a bit sudden?
I'm also curious whether Keef & Keza will be reporting from Gamescom or whether they are only interested in conventions that involve a flight to LA.

Afternoon all. There was a weekend. I should feel refreshed but don't, and actually fell asleep at my desk on Friday afternoon for the first time in about 17 years. Was coincidentally at the doc's this morning for my regular thyroid blood test so he's ordered the full smorgasbord of analysis on top. Should get the results in a week. I am tired. Games: Dark Souls platinum run continues. I think I have all the trophies I can get in NG, and aside from ending Kalameet and Manus in the DLC (which I never managed first time around on the Prepare to Die Edition on 360) just Gwyn to destroy. Unfortunately I am so under-levelled it's a joke and Kalameet and Gwyn are having a great time kicking my butt. Not one for farming / grinding but I think I need a few more points in STR / VIT and deploy the black knight halberd  Spiderman remains fun, man, swinging around the city is tops, although I've just transformed into MJ and am now a photographer in an auction house. Four stars Movies: A Star is Born. Crap. TV: Agents of Shield catch up OTTM: I am tired. |

Manus I found is not so bad if you have a summons. All you really need is to stop him focussing on you constantly. The summons doesn't have to do that much.
Kalameet is very similar to the gaping dragon, but with added flames and extra health. Again a helper makes him straightforward even if the summons is not doing much

Apparently if you pour hundreds of hours into Wipeout 2048, and have access to better unlocked craft, then it's possible to beat someone who has never played the game before, at least in about four races out of five. Who knew?

We didn't use any of the 2048 tracks. They are too long and difficult.
It was more like 18/20 races as well.

Apex Legends: now, after someone thanks you, you have the option to say 'you're welcome'. For my money that makes it one of the most polite mass murder simulators on the market.
Telly: a film about climbing on Netflix called Dawn Wall.

Wipeout 2097 has never been reissued. I do not know why as it is the best version.
No Talons Reach. I expect it is licensing the music that is the problem. It's probably too difficult to get licences for the tracks on a new format for the 2 copies they would sell.
I have the first Wipeout on PS3. It is hurtfully difficult. That is I was terrible at it.
The tracks were all too long.
You need to play the zones version of Anulpha Pass on Wipeout HD It is pretty good.
Zones is also available on other tracks but they are rubbish in comparison.
Online Wipeout is pretty good except you can't chat. Also almost all the other players are far too good. Being free on PSN may mean some fresh meat for the grinder.

Yep, I found Bradley's character a bit creepy at the initial meet-cute and post-meet-cute, then pretty effin obnoxious throughout the rest of the film. LG proved she can play LG pretty well. |

I just watched Nintendo's Indie presentation, everything mainly colourful and quirky. Ori and the Blind Forest is coming to the Switch, yeah! And when would be a good time to release it? Why not at the end of September when everything else is coming out. What a good idea.
Apart from this bonkers release schedule I really like this new love between Microsoft and Nintendo, although I wonder what MS gets out of it besides these games probably selling very well on the Switch. Will they be able to borrow Mario or Zelda for something? I want to see a Halo/Pikmin mashup.
